GINA K. DESIGNS AND THERMOWEB - Penguin Pals Kit

Tuesday, October 17, 2023

Hello everyone!

I am here with Gina K. Designs featuring the newly released "Penguin Pals Kit".  This kit is so adorable, it comes with a stamp set, a stencil and dies to create the penguin, and many die to help you create your project.  This is a one-time deal, once the kit is sold out it will not be available, so get it while you can.  The set is only available on ThermOWeb's website.

I have created two cards for your inspiration:

Donna Idlet, Gina K. Designs, Thermoweb, Penguin Pals Kit, ink blending, penguins, fancy foil, Deco Foil Flock, die cutting, Duo gel,

My first card is an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2), I used the GKD Master Layouts 1 to die cut the layers.

I ink blended the background using GKD inks (Wild Lilac, with a little black on the edges) and used some white pigment ink to splatter the background.

I die cut the snow hills using GKD Master Layouts 6.  I ink blended the hills using GKD ink Sea Glass.

I die cut the cut penguins using Deco Flock in black (for the body), white (for the body), orange glow (for the feet, beak, scarf and earmuff), think pink (for the scarf and bow), and purple punch (scarf and earmuff).

The tree I die cut using GKD Fancy Foil Glittering Green using solid black toner paper.

I stamped the sentiment using the stamp set, which I heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

Assembled the card.

Donna Idlet, Gina K. Designs, Thermoweb, Penguin Pals Kit, ink blending, penguins, fancy foil, Deco Foil Flock, die cutting, Duo gel,

My next card, I created an A2 shaker card. I cut the top panel at 4 x 5 1/4, I die cut the circle using GKD Circle Shadow Shakers die cuts.

I inked blended the layer with GKD Sea Glass and Navy ink.

I then die cut a circle in the center.  I  stenciled the background using the snowflake stencil from the kit with the Deco Foil Transfer Duo Gel.  After the Transfer Duo Gel dried, I added Fancy Foil Brilliant Blue foil to the circle and ran it through my minc.  I have the Fuse Foiling System on order!  I can't wait to get it Thursday!

I added some acetate in the back of the top layer, added GKD Double-sided Adhesive Foam Shaker Strips to the back layer of the panel, added some GKD Mini Snowflakes and attached the foiled circle to the panel, and finished the card off by adding the stitched circle die to the card.

I made a snowman from the body of the penguin and assembled the penguin.  I added these to the card panel.

Stamped the sentiment and finished the card off by adding some snowflakes.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have been inspired and will join the hop.

Gina K. Designs and Thermoweb Tropical Sunshine Kit

Tuesday, February 28, 2023

Hello everyone!

I am so excited to be here sharing a couple of cards I created using the NEWLY released Gina K. Designs and Thermoweb Tropical Sunshine Kit. This kit is gorgeous and has so many pieces to it that you can create lots of projects.

Here are the two cards I created with the kit.

My card is an A2 card, I used Master Layouts 1 to cut the two layers, and used the top layers with Master Layouts 1 also.  I used the fancy foil toner sheets with the green grass fancy foil to die cut the palms of the  trees and the wild dandelion fancy foil to cut the trunks of the trees.  I used the the twinkling Pink to cut the word "sunshine".  I stamped the words using GKD Embossing and Watermark ink along with the fine detail white embossing powder.  I die cut the words using the sentiment strips.

My second card, I used the Master Layouts 1 to die cut the layers.  I used the stencil in the kit to create the sunset using GKD inks (coral reef, passionate pink and sweet corn).

I hope I have inspired you to want this kit, it really is fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wednesday, October 14, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am here with Gina K. Designs featuring the newly released "Gnome for the Holiday" Stamp n' Stencil™ Craft Kit.  Gina K. Designs and Thermoweb Designers have joined together for an Instagram Hop to show off this wonderful Craft Kit.  You can start the instagram hop here, be sure to join.  There will be two random winners from BOTH companies IG hops & designer IG accounts. The hop will end on Sunday, October 18th at 11:59 pm CST. Winners will be announced on the 19th.

I have created two cards for your inspiration:

My first card is a slimline card, here are Gina K. Designs measurements if you want to create one for yourself.

I cut the top layer at 3 5/8 x 8 5/8 I stamped the mountains from the Gnome for the Holiday stamp set with GKD ink.  I then masked the mountains and inked the sky with GKD inks.

I then added some Glitz Glitter Gel Iridescent to the mountain top using the stencil from the Craft Kit, I let that dry and then added some snow in the sky using GKD Stencil Snowfall.  I set this aside to dry.

The gnomes I die cut the body with Deco Foil Toner Sheets and then foiled it with the GKD/ Thermoweb Fancy Foils.

I die cut the hats with GKD cardstock and used the Deco foil Transfer Gel Duo with the stencil from the craft kit and then used the Fancy Foils after the gel dried, I ran it through the foiling machine.

The beards I die cut using Thermoweb White Flock.  The balls on the Gnomes hats are also cut from Thermoweb White Flock.  I assembled their bodies and wallah they are all together.

I die cut the trees and added the Transfer Gel Duo and added the Fancy Foils and ran it through the foiling machine.

I cut a snow bank at the bottom of my card, added the sentiment from the Craft Kit and added it to my card and then assembled the card.

My next card, I created an A2 shaker card.  I cut the top panel at 4 x 5 1/4, I die cut a circle toward the top of the panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set in the craft kit.

I added some acetate in the back of the circle panel and added some of GKD foam tape cutting it in thin strips around the back of the panel.  I sat this aside to create the gnome.

The ball on the Gnome hat is also cut from Thermoweb White Flock.  I assembled his body.

I added the sequins from the GKD mermaid tail and added the piece of cardstock I created a background scene using the technique above.  I added this panel to the card base.  I added the Gnome to the front of the shaker card and added the blue heart from the GKD Rainbow hearts to finish the card off.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have been inspired and will join the hop.

Joy Clair and Thermoweb Collaboration!

Wednesday, August 21, 2019

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the Joy Clair Stamps and Thermoweb's collaboration!  Therm-o-web foils and other products are so versatile, I love the many creations you can create.  The design team has some wonderful creations so be sure to hop over to the Joy Clair Stamps Blog to get plenty of inspiration.  I am using the following stamp sets in my creations for you today.

Here is my first card:

I am using the Joy Clair Stamps Proverbs 31 which is part of the Color by Faith line of stamps and the Friends and Flowers.  From Therm-o-web I am using the Deco Foil Shattered Glass on my card.

Here is how I put this card together:

1.  My card is an A2 card,

2.  I cut a panel at 4 x 51/2 and added double stick tape to the panel, using the grid paper as my guide.  I used the distress inks and added it to my panel.

3.  I removed the covering from the double stick tape,

4.  I cut the deco foil "Rainbow Shattered Glass" to the panel,

5.  I varnished the deco foil onto my panel and removed the foil.  I love this technique.  I love the background panel and the distress inks match the foil perfect.

6.  I stamped the floral image twice from the Proverbs 31 stamp set.  I colored them with Tri-blend Spectrum Noir pens, cut them out using my scan and cut.  The sentiment is from the Friends and Flowers stamp set.

My next project I am using the Joy Clair Stamp set Friends and Flowers.  I colored the image with copics.  I cut it out using my scan and cut.  The background is by Therm-o-web using the Brutus Monroe Designer Toner Sheets-Double Dots.  I used my minc to transfer the Brutus Monroe foiled transfer sheet Green Sketch.

My last project, I am using the Joy Clair Stamp set Heir of God, which is part of the Color by Faith line of stamps.  I stamp the image and colored it with copics, the sentiment is from the Many Blessings stamp set.  I used the deco foil transfer gel with a stencil.  I cut my panel at 3 7/8 x 5, I used the Therm-o-web Pixie Spray to adhere the stencil on my panel.  I added the deco foil transfer gel with a pallet knife.  I let the gel dry and then added deco foil "Rainbow Shattered Glass" using my minc.

Here are my cards for your inspiration:

Here is how I created my card:

1.  My card is a top folding A2 card,
2.  I cut the next layer at 4 x 5 1/4, the black layer is 3 7/8 x 5 and the embossed layer is 3 1/2 x 4 7/8,
3.  I embossed the top layer,
4.  The side layer measures 2 x 4 1/2 the top layer is Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Foil-Mates™ Backgrounds -Bountiful Flourish, and I foiled it with Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Fancy Foils™ - Glittering Green,
5.  I then stamped the images from the Joy Clair Stamp "Fruit of the Spirit" which is from the Color by Faith line, with Thermoweb's Deco Foil™ Adhesive Pen and use the Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Fancy Foils™ - Wild Dandelion and the fruit with Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Fancy Foils™ - Red Velvet,
6.  I colored the fruit with Copics,
7.  I die cut the image using Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Nested double and single Rectangle dies and used foam tape to adhere it to my card.

My next card, is using the negative pieces of the foil I used in my first card.  I used Gina K. Designs connect glue to adhere the foil to the white card stock.

My last card I am using the newly released "Pearl of Great Price" stamp set.

1.  The card is a side folding A2 card, I used the extra pieces from the Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Foil-Mates™ Backgrounds -Bountiful Flourish, and Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Fancy Foils™ - Grass Green.  The sheet goes a long way, no need to throw any pieces away, you can always find a use for them.  I save all of my pieces.
2.  I stamp the sentiment from the Joy Clair Stamps "Pearl of Great Price",  onto the Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Foil-Mates Label Border frame with  Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb Fancy Foils™ - Gold Sequins and then die cut it with Gina K. Designs/Thermoweb nested label dies.
3.  I adhered the side foiled pieces, the sentiment frame, and used foam tape to pop the shell onto the card.
4.  I finished the card off by adding some clear wink of stella and glossy accents onto the pearl.

Closer look at the card.
