MFT Stamps - Sending a Cup of Love

Wednesday, May 27, 2020

Hello everyone!

I'm back again for Day 6 of the Spring/Summer 2020 Coffee Lovers Hop and I have a card I created using the MFT Stamps Die-namics and stamp. This raccoon is adorable, MFT Stamps has lots of critters in their line of critters if you want to go look.

Here is how I created my card.

1.  My card is an A2 card that will fit in an A2 envelope.
2.  I die cut all the elements out for my card and put them together,
3.  I used a stencil to add the hearts in the background with white pigment ink,
4.  I then adhered the raccoon onto the top of the MFT Slider,
5.  I stamped the sentiment with versmark and embossed with white embossing powder, and then heat set it, added this to the bottom of the raccoon,
6.  I stamped the "pull" at the top of the card,
7.  And finished it off by adding an enamel heart in the center of the cup.

Here is the surprise when you pull the layer...you can add a gift card or a sentiment.

Joy Clair Designs - Wanna Grab A Sloffee

Saturday, May 23, 2020

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another coffee card featuring the Joy Clair Designs stamp set called Feeling Slothy. I'm loving creating slimline cards, they make your project look really cool. If you want to see more inspiration, hop over to Joy Clair Designs blog to see all the coffee related stamps they have in the store.  Also the Joy Clair store is having a sitewide sale on all items in the store (a full list of coffee related stamps are listed at the bottom of this post) ....don't forget to use MEMORIALDAY at checkout.

I am playing along with the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Joy Clair is a Super Sponsor again this year. There are lots of sponsors and prizes if you would like to play along.

1.  The card I created with a slimline die from Trinity Stamps, I die cut the front panel and used a stencil to create the grass and clouds,

2.  I then stamped the images from the Joy Clair Feeling Slothy stamp set.

3.  The second sloth on my project I used the technique mirror stamping. I used the Waffle Flower Water Media Mat, I put the mat in my Misti, stamped the image onto the mat with versafine onyx ink, put my paper on top, rubbed it really well to get a clear image (love this technique),

4.  I heat embossed all the images with clear embossing powder because I colored them with copics (versafine ink is not alcohol friendly). I cut the images with a scan and cut, and adhered them to the card.  The bottom sloth I added foam dots to pop him up.

I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps - Happy Birthday

Thursday, May 21, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am here with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps and I have a masculine birthday card for you today. I am using the new 2020 and Birthday 6 rubber stamps and the truck which is called Truck Old Pick Up. This card could be created into a Father's Day card too, just change the sentiment. I thought it would be fun to use the 2020 stamp set in the background since most states are still in quarantine and cannot go out and celebrate.

Here is how I created the card:

1. My card is an A2 landscape card,
2. I stamped the 2020 in the background in black ink,
3. I then cut a black piece of cardstock at 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 and then the top cardstock at 2 1/4 x 3 1/2, I stamped the Truck Old Pick Up and then stamped the Birthday 6. I adhered the two pieces together and added some foam tape and adhered it to the base of the card.

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #135 - Tic Tac Toe

Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is one of my favorite Challenge's, Tic Tac Toe.  My tic tac toe is die cut or punch, birthday and bright colors.  I hope you will join in on the fun!

If you have never played along with Retro Rubber Challenge blog, you can create what ever you want, the only thing we ask is to use at least one stamp on your project older than a year. You also must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. I cannot wait to see your take on the challenge.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The stamp set is a Gina K. Designs mini set called "Wishes", which you could also buy the word "wishes". The set was released April 2019.

My card is an A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2), I die cut the front of the panel with the floral die cut, I had an alcohol background that I created and adhered it to the back of the front panel.  I often create alcohol backgrounds and when I need one, I can just reach for it.  I then die cut the word "wishes" with black card stock, added some wink of stella and then added some glossy accent.  I sat this aside to dry.  I then stamped the word birthday from the mini stamp set Wishes on white card stock and adhered it to the card and added the word "wishes".

Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get some more inspiration! Thank you for stopping by, you have until May 29th to join the fun!

CASE The Fellow Creator Blog Hop

Sunday, May 17, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am joining the Handmade Happiness Facebook group in a CASE hop.  There were a list of Youtuber's and bloggers I had to choose from and I chose LeeAnn McKinney to CASE her card, below:

Here is my take on LeeAnn's card:

1.  My card is an A2 card, I die cut the top layer with a stitched rectangle die, I then inked the edges before removing the stitched die and ink blended the edges with pickled raspberry distress ink.

2.  I embossed the hearts with the MFT Lots of Hearts stencil. I used a double stitched heart die, and cut the center with it. I added some stripe paper from MFT Sweet Stack behind the heart and added the layer onto my card.

3.  I stamped the image from the Pure Innocence stamp set called, So Much Love with black ink and colored the image with Copics and the rest I paper pieced using paper from the Sweet Stack.

4.  I stamped the sentiment from the Pure Innocence stamp set on black card stock with versamark and added white detailed embossing powder and heat embossed. I added this to the bottom of the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my CASE!  I sure did enjoy creating my card.

2. I stamped the images cut them out with my scan and cut and colored them with copics, I stamped the words
Mr. Fix It onto the saw
3. I sat the images aside,  and created the easel card.  To make the easel card, I took a piece of card stock 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 and 8 1/4, I then took another piece of card stock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhered it to the base of the scored card.
4. I then cut some masculine design paper at 4 x 5 1/4 from my stash and adhered it to the front of the card, and cut another piece at 4 x 2 7/8 and adhered it to the bottom of the easel card.
5.  I then cut a slit in the tool box to add the tools into the box and added the other tools.
6.  I stamped and cut the sentiment and added a layer to the sentiment and adhered it to the card so that it could be a stopper to hold the card upright.
7.  I finished the card off by adding some of the screws around the sentiment.

Here is an angle of the easel card.

Here is an angel showing the sentiment.
