A BLOG NAMED HERO - Puffer Fish

Tuesday, June 27, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here again with A Blog Named Hero and we are continuing our collaboration this month with Chibitronics! I hope you have been enjoying all the wonderful projects the team has created. If you have not had a chance to stop over to A Blog Named Hero's blog, please do.

This month challenge is "interactive", which seems to fit with the Chibitronics! If you don't have Chibitronics you can make a slider or shaker card or anything you can think of that would be interactive! I can't wait to see what you come up with. And stop by A Blog Named Hero's blog and get more inspiration!

Here is my card, I am using the Hero Arts Puffer Fish stamp set.  This is the cutest stamp set I have seen in a while.  There are so many possibilities with this set.

Here is a short video of the lights going on and off:

Here is how I put my card together:

1. My card is an A2 (4 1/4 X 5 1/2)
2. I stamped and die cut the puffer fish from the Hero Arts Puffer Fish stamp set,

3.  I colored them using copics, the green fish I used copics YG21, 03, 17 and 67, the orange fish I used Y17, 38 and YR68, the baskets I used E57 and 79,
4. The clouds I used the MFT cloud stencil and added the water at the bottom,

5.  I placed the baskets with adhesive and then added the fish with dimensionals,
6.  To see how I added the lights you can go to an earlier post I showed you step by step on how I added the foil tape and lights, you can click here.

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge, which is interactive.   You can find the Challenge Rules   on the A Blog Named Hero's blog to make sure you follow the rules to be eligible to win. You can submit your project here!

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon!

closer look at the cloud card

How I put my card together:

I was so excited about getting my card together, I completely forgot to take pictures, but this is a simple card to created.

1.  I used the second of the largest cloud die and cut two,
2.  I scored about 1/2 inch on the cloud so the card will stand,
3.  I used my computer to arrange everything I wanted on my card and printed it out using the Gina K premium white card stock,,
4.  I used the third cloud and die cut the printed elements out,
6.  I colored the rainbow and clouds with copics
5.  I printed the rainbow again and cut out the clouds and popped them up over the clouds,
7.  I finished the card off by adding some Hero Arts sequins called Ombre Ocean.

Simple card!  I can't wait to see what you create on this fun challenge.

a2z Scrapbooking - Mahalo

Friday, June 9, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here with a2z Scrapbooking to share with you a shape card made with the Hero Arts, "Nesting Circle Infinity Dies".  I have created a shaker card using the "Color Layering Sea Turtle" stamp set.  I hope you will join the fun this month which is "Take Shape", you can use any shape card and use at least one Hero Arts product on your card to qualify for the prize.

Closer look

How I put my card together:

1.  I die cut two circles with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity dies,
2.  I used a stencil brush and inked one of the circles with the Hero Arts Aquatic hybrid ink,
3.  I stenciled the waves from the Hero Arts Waves stencil,

3.  I scored the bottom circle about 1/2 inch and used score tape to adhere to the front stenciled circle,

4.  I took the largest and the third circle to make the frame for my shaker card,

5.  I die cut all the elements I wanted to use for the card, I used the negative to put the die cut pieces back on the sheet to stamp the images with my Misti,

6,  I used the Hero Arts Acetate Sheet to create the front of the shaker.  I used the large circle to cut the acetate and then used liquid glue to glue the blue frame and the acetate together.  I glued all my elements and added the sequins to the stenciled circle piece, then used foam tape around the frame and acetate piece and adhered it to the stencil part of the shaker.

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my shaker card, I really had fun creating it.  Are you on social media? We are! Please join us on TwitterInstagram and Facebook? so you don't miss any fun promotions or new challenge announcements!
