Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #120 - Come Up for Air

Tuesday, September 24, 2019

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is anything goes.
If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. I cannot wait to see you take on it.

The stamp set I am using is created by Pickett Fence Studios called "A Dose of Vitamin Sea" it was released in February 2018.

My card is an A2 card, my design paper is from Authentique and the collection is called Sea-Maiden  The paper had a whole 12 x 12 sheet of cards that were perfect to make into cards.  I also thought this paper was perfect for the whale image I used.  I was able to get several cards made, so you may see this collection again!  I stamped and fuzzy cut the whale from the Pickett Fence Studios stamp set "A Dose of Vitamin Sea", colored it with copics and used foam tape to pop it up on my card.  I finished the card off by adding some clear dew drops.

Are you ready to play along? Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get some more inspiration! Thank you for stopping by, you have until October 4th to join the fun!

Joy Clair and Rinea Collaboration - You're a Gem

Saturday, September 21, 2019

Hello everyone!

It's Donna here with another card using Rinea Foiled Paper and Joy Clair Stamps.  The month of September, Rinea and Joy Clair Stamps are collaborating.  The design teams has created some beautiful creations, I hope you have been inspired.

Here is my card,

I am using the Joy Clair Stamps newly released background stamp called Crystal Background, the sentiment is also from Joy Clair Stamps newly released called You're a Gem.  The foiled starstruck paper is by Rinea called Violet/Violet Starstruck Solid.  I also used the Silver/Gold Glossy Solid Foiled Paper for layering.

Here is how I created my card:

My card is an A2 card, I am using the Violet/Violet Starstruck Solid Foiled Paper, I used my embossing buddy and then stamped versmark, added silver embossing powder and heat embossed it with a heat tool.  I cut it down to 5 1/2 x 4 and added the Silver/Gold Glossy Solid Foiled Paper to layer in the background.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Joy Clair Stamps You're a Gem with StazOn Jet Black Ink.  I die cut the sentiment with a circle die and used Rinea Ebony/Gold Glossy Solid Foiled Paper to layer.  I used foam tape and adhered the sentiment to my card.

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps - Cast a Spell

Thursday, September 12, 2019

Hello everyone!

I am here with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps with the newly released "Witch Wendy" and the sentiment is "Nasty Spell".   If you have not seen all the newly released stamp sets for this month head over to Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps to see them and get lots of inspiration on creating projects from the design team.

Here is how I created my card:

My card is a step card, I created using a Silhouette file.  I had to do a little altering to make it an A2 size card.  I resized the layers that went with the card, I used some Halloween paper I had in my stash to cut them out.  I stamped the image from Crackerbox and Suzy Stamp called "Witch Wendy", and colored it with copics (doesn't she look scary?!)  I cut her out using my scan and cut.  I then stamped the sentiment from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps "Nasty Spell" and die cut it using a double stitched die.  I adhered both pieces with a tape runner and adhered it to my card.

Closer look at the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please come back again soon!

Don't forget Halloween catagory stamps are 20% off  this month.
