Day 5 - SPRING/SUMMER COFFEE LOVERS BLOG HOP

Hello everyone!

I am back again with the Spring/Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.  My card is from the Pink and Main Stamp set called Latta Love.  This is another adorable set, it has all kinds of images in the set that are perfect for a any occasion.  Pink and Main is also a Super Sponsor for the Coffee Lover's Hop!  If you have not played along, you really should, there are tons of prizes to be won!  Ok, I may be exaggerating a little when I say "tons"!

Here is how I put my card together:

1.  A2 top folding card measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4,
2.  I die cut the layer with the design paper  with an MFT stitched die,
3.  The yellow circle, I die cut from the MFT circle die set,
4.  I took two stitched dies and die cut them out to get a circle with stitching on both sides,
5.  I picked out the images from the Pink and Main stamp set Latta Love, stamped them with Memento and cut them out using my scan and cut,
6.  I then colored the images with copics, I used a clear wink of stella pen on the coffee mug, the steam, and the top of the tea pot, I used glossy accent on the heart in the cup to give it some dimension,
7.  I stamped the sentiment with Memento black ink,
8.  Add the images to the card with foam tape,
9.  I finished the card by adding the Pink and Main glossy dots.

Here is a closer look of the card, can you see the wink of stella and glossy accents?

Here is how I put my card together:

3.  The embossed layer measures  3 7/8 x 5,

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #87 - Sketch

Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a sketch.  I know I have said this before, I love sketches....our one and only design team member Claire always has the neatest sketches.

If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post.  Here is the sketch for you to use.  I cannot wait to see you take on it.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I used a stamp set from Stampin Up called "Mixed drink".  The set was released in June 2016 and I believe it is still available.

My card is an A2 card, I used the Stampin Up (retired) DSP True Gentlemen, I stamped the image from the set colored it with copics and added some wink of stella, to give the beer a shimmery look.  The sentiment is from the Stampin Up stamp set called "Teeny Tiny Wishes" which was released back in 2009.  This is a favorite set of mine!

Are you ready to play along? Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations! Thank you for stopping by, you have until June 1st to join the fun!

Gina K. Designs May Release Blog Hop - Day 3

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to the Gina K. Designs May Release blog hop! Today is the last day of the hop and the design team is showcasing the newly released Sunshine for Love StampTV Kit! These two stamp sets are so beautiful and can you will be able to make so many elegant cards with it. The first stamp set is called Layered Daisy and the other is Rose Peonies both sets are by Gina K.

I hope you have enjoyed all three days of the hop. Don't forget to stop by all the design teams blog and leave a comment for your chance to win a $25 gift card to the Gina K. Design store.

My first card is from the Layered Daisies by Gina K. I did the heat resist technique on this card. I stamped the daisy flower top layer with versafine ink on watercolor paper, heat embossed it with Gina K's fine detail white embossing powder, I then sprayed the paper to get it nice and wet, I used a craft sheet to put down Gina K. Coral Reef and Wild Dandelion ink, I spray that and smashed the watercolor paper into the craft sheet. I stamped the center with Wild Dandelion ink. I added my sentiment from the Gina K. Layered Daisy stamp set. I finished the card off by adding some enamel dots.

My second card is from the Gina K.'s Rose Peonies stamp set. I stamped the flowers with Gina K. Amalgam Ink, I die cut the flowers and leaves with the dies from the set. I colored the images with copics, added the splatter from the stamp set, I used foam tape to pop the flowers on my card and then added the leaves. I stamped the sentiment from the Layered Daisy set, die cut it out with circles and adhered it to my card. You can find all the supplies I used for both of my cards below.

Here are the supplies I used for my cards.
