CottageCutz with Peachy Keen!

Sunday, October 30, 2016

Hello everyone!

I am here with the Scrapping Cottage Blog and the design team has partnered with Peachy Keen Stamps to celebrate their new release of face stamps that work perfectly with the CottageCutz Christmas ornament dies. TWO NEW SIZES of Face Stamps have been added to their release, 1 5/8" and 1 7/8" to fit the super fun ornaments by CottageCutz.  Please stop over at Peachy Keen Stamps because Kathy is offering some promotional pricing on her new stamps sets that will go perfectly with the CottageCutz dies.

Ornament 1 1/8th" (smaller circle).  I am using the Cottagecutz Nested Ornaments:  Ball.

Here is how I put my card together:
  1.  The card is an A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,
  2. The red design paper is the same size as the base of the card,
  3. The blue frame is die cut from the largest Cottagecutz "Stitched Wide Rectangle Frame Set",
  4. I die cut two of the Cottagecutz Nested Ornaments:  Ball (I used the medium and small sizes,

     5.  I used my Misti to line up the stamp on the circle,

     6.  Here is how it looks after I have stamped the face,

7.  I colored the snowmen faces with copics.  I used Y17, Y38 and YG68 on the snowmen's noses, B0000 on the eyes and R00 on the checks.  I used my white gel pen on the circle part of the eyes to make them stand out,
8.  I finished my card off by adding the sentiment by CottageCutz "Season's Greetings".

If you have not joined the challenge for this month, you have until Monday.   The theme is fall. Here is the link for more info.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please come back again soon!

Prickley Pear - Halloween Treats

Thursday, October 27, 2016

Hello everyone,

I am here with Prickeyl Pear featuring their Bat die and the Bat clear stamp set and the rubber stamp called "Dead Head Pumpkin small" and a sentiment "Wishing You a Spooktacular" red rubber stamp. I have made some tags for treats that can be handed out for Halloween treats or made for your small child for school treats.  The possibilities are endless.

The candy I wrapped are the fun size candy bars that you can get at the Dollar Store.  You get about 6 or 7 bars for one dollar.  I cut my paper 2 inches x 4 inches and wrapped it around the candy. I had the little baggies that you could put a long rod pretzel in and you can fit three bars inside.  I made a little holder that can hold the candy, it is 4 inches wide, I scored at 1/2 inch on each side and slide the candy inside.  I made my tag and used some ribbon to wrap around the top with the tag.  So easy! Have fun creating.

 Closer look at the tags

This tag I used the Dead Head Pumpkin Rubber Stamp small and the sentiment is "Wishing you a Spooktacular" rubber stamp.   I colored the pumpkin with copics and finished the tag off with some orange enamel dots.

This tag, I cut the bat out of black card stock with the Prickley Pear Bat die and the sentiment came from the clear Bat stamp set.

Retro Rubber Challenge #50 - Autumn Leaves Start to Fall

Tuesday, October 25, 2016

I HAVE TWO POST TODAY, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR JOY CLAIR, CLICK HERE.

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, it is "Halloween" you can use the photo below for inspiration. To join the challenge, simply use a stamp one year old or older, tell us how old it is and follow the theme. It's so much fun to join Retro Rubber's challenges. Don't forget to stop by the blog and see all the other design teams creations.

I am using a couple of stamp sets from Impression Obsession one is called "Autumn Leaves", which I couldn't find anything after September 2011 so I'm going to assume this date is around the time the stamp was released. The other stamp set is "Fall Leaves" which was released in 2016.

My card is an A2 card top folding card.  I stamped the leaves with several colors of distress inks.  I then added my sentiment from the Autumn Leaves stamp set.  I finished it off by adding some sequins.

I hope you have been inspired by my card and will join the challenge. You have until November 4th to hop on over to Retro Rubber to join the challenge. Remember to use a stamp over a year old and make sure you tell us how old it is. I cannot wait to see your creation! Leave me a comment to tell me how you liked my card, I love to read them. Thanks for stopping by, come back again soon!!

Hello everyone!

I am here with Impression Obsession challenge which is "To Die For".  I am also entering my card into the blog challenge with Inspired by All the Little Things which is an inspirational challenge.

Here is my take on the challenges.  I love Impression Obsession dies and was so happy that I was able to use these leaves.  These leaves are so nice, I love how you can see the veins in the leaves, it makes them look so real.  My card is an A2 card, I took a piece of paper and tore it, then masked off some of my card and used distress inks to get my edge, before lifting the torn paper, I used the Impression obsession background stamp "French Word" and stamped it over the masked area.  I added the sentiment from the "Early Sunsets" stamp set, I die cut the leaves from the Leaves Die Set in different colors, I inked them, used my bone folder to curl the leaves a little so they would not be so flat, I popped some of them up and used some adhesive on some. That's it!  What do you think?  I like how it turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please leave me a comment on how you like my card, I love reading your comments.  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Howl-idays!

Saturday, October 22, 2016

Hello everyone,

I am back today playing along with Freshly Made Sketches and with the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge which is using plaid on your card.  So I am using the sketch to create my card and adding some plaid design paper.

Here is my take on the sketch:

Isn't he just the cutest little dog, this dog a stamp set is made by Avery Elle called "Happy Howl-idays".  I stamped him and colored him with copics and die cut him out.  My card is an A2 and the first plaid is 1" wide and 3 7/8 long and the smaller piece is 1/2" x 3 7/8.  I die cut two circles, added some snowflakes from the stamp set and added the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon!

Warm Wishes

Saturday, October 22, 2016

Hello everyone,

I am stopping by to play along with a couple of challenges, and one of my favorites which is "coffee" related challenges!  Addicted to CAS challenge is a word challenge "COFFEE" and CASology cue card is "COFFEE"...oh what fun!

Here is my take on the challenges:

Those of you that follow me know I rarely create a one layer card with no embellishments.  I just had to add a little bling to my card, I just could not help it.  I first stamped the coffee stain from the Verve stamp set "Better With You".  The coffee cup and sentiment is from Waffle Flower called "Warm Wishes".  I won this stamp set from Kat Scrappiness from the Fall Coffee Loviers Blog hop and I could not wait to get it inked up!   I stamped the coffee cup and colored it with copics.  I then fuzzy cut it out.  I positioned the cup where I wanted it and added my sentiment and then popped the cup over it.

Thanks so much for stopping in, please come back again soon!

My first card features Claire's Nordic Winter Stamp Set.  I loved using the GKD Red Velvet ink on the GKD Kraft Card stock.  Thanks to my Misti I was able to line up all the different stamps to get these lined up.

My second card features Noel stamp set also illustrated by Claire.  I love this set, the script is so beautiful and I love the large letters.  The sentiments are perfect by themselves!  I used distress inks to create the background.  I spritz some water to get the white dots.  Finished the card with some sparkled enamel dots.  The base of the card is Jelly Bean Green.

My next card I am featuring is another one of Claire's called Compliments of the Season stamp Set. There are nine sentiments and they are all in different fonts and sizes, just perfect for cardmaking, making tags and scrapbooking. The design paper is from the Home for the Holidays StampTV Kit called Home for the Holidays. I stamped the sentiment with GKD Black Onyx. Finished it off by adding some enamel dots.  The base of the card is GKD card stock Turquoise Sea.

My last card I am featuring is illustrated by Beth Silaika called Ian Moose Stamp Set. I die cut two circles, and stamped the snowflakes from the Ian Moose for my background. I colored the moose with copics and popped him up on the circle. The tree is adhered to the circle. The design paper is from the Home for the Holidays StampTV Kit called Home for the Holidays. The base of the card is GKD Red Velvet (my favorite color!).
