a2z Scrapbooking Challenge - Hero Arts Color Layering Rooster

Sunday, April 30, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here with a2z Scrapbooking to share with you another card.  This month's challenge is "Getting to Know You".  If you would like to join in on the fun, you can link your project up here.  All you have to do is use any Hero Arts product which should be your favorite Hero Art Stamp Set, Ink, etc since this is "getting to know you" challenge and tell us why.

Here is my card, I am using the Hero Arts Color Layering Rooster.  If you have not tried these layering stamp sets, they are so easy to do.  The stamps sets come with suggested colors you can use, which makes it so easy!

Here is how I put my card together:

I had the perfect paper  to use with the rooster.  I used the Hero Arts Rectangle Infinity dies to cut my layers.  I used the suggested colors to stamp my rooster, all except the blue.  I find it easier to die cut the image out first and use the opposite piece to center my image to stamp.  I added my sentiment, added some foam tape and popped the rooster on the layered card.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can also use the code "Donna15" to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

a2z Scrapbooking has a TwitterInstagram and Facebook pages. Follow us on these different social media outlets so you won’t miss out on any of the promotions!

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge this month! You only have a few more hours before the challenge closes!  You will have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store! One lucky winner will be announced on May 7th.

Retro Rubber Challenge #61 - Buttons

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

Hello everyone,

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge which is all about buttons.  This is a fun challenge, I hope you will join.  Buttons can always make a project stand out.  Here is the Challenge photo to help you in your creations.

No automatic alt text available.

For my card, I used some Stampin Up buttons out of my stash.  I thought they matched perfect with the paper I used, that was also in my stash also.  The sentiment on my card is from Stampin Up Petite Pairs which was released around August 2011.  This is a great set to have, there are so many different sentiments for every occasion, such as, baby cards, wedding, Valentines, sympathy cards, Christmas, you name it they have a sentiment in this set.

Here is how I put my card together:

I used an A2 card, cut the balloon paper at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, the green layer is cut from a die, I added the sentiment, added the twine and used glue dots to add my buttons.  Very clean and simple card and perfect for any age birthday celebration.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. You have until May 5th to join in on the fun!

Here is my card.  This month theme for the design team is masking.  I will tell you how I created my card below.
How I put my card together:

1.  A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,
2.  The black cardstock measures 4 x 5 1/4,
3.  The top piece of cardstock measures 3 7/8 x 5,

I stamped the boots and the tags using my Misti, I stamped the boots on some wide masking low tack tape I have and masked the boots I stamped on my cardstock, I then stamped the tags.  If you don't have low tack masking tape, you can also use post it notes, they work well too.

5.  I stamped the tags on the side of the boots to make it look like some of the tag is behind the boot.

6.  I removed the masked piece of paper and here is the results!
