Friday, September 30, 2016

Hello everyone,

I am here with the Scrapping Cottage Blog sharing a one of the newest Fall CottageCutz dies that was just released. If you missed it, you can find the collection here. I am using the adorable coffee die called "Mug with Heart".

I am stopping over at the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to play along with this wonderful group of people who love making "Coffee" related cards. Stop over and see all the sponsors who have some great prizes you can win.

Here is my card:

closer look at the cups.

How I created my card:

1.  A2 size card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,

2.  I cut all my pieces out,

3.  I inked up all my cups with the colors I wanted to use,

4.   Then I dipped them in matching embossing powder,  and finished with the heat gun.

5.  After I finished all my cups with the ink and embossing powders, I took the white pigment ink with the splattered ink pad and dotted the cuts.  Do you remember years ago there were dishes called pfaltzgraff?  Well this is the look I was trying to get.  Here are the finishes cups

6.  I die cut the "hello" and added it to my card.

All finished, clean and simple!

Hello everyone,

When Reverse Confetti came out with a new set called "Just Brew It", I just had to have it! The design paper I have used on my card is Reverse Confetti's new 6x6 paper pack called "Fright Night".  I was to late to link up with their challenge, but here is my card and I hope all you coffee lovers had a great day sipping on your coffee!

Retro Rubber Challenge #48 - Embellish It!

Tuesday, September 27, 2016

Hello everyone,

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, it is "Embellish It" you can use lace, twine or ribbon to embellish your card.  See the photo below for inspiration.  To join the challenge, simply use a stamp one year old or older, tell us how old it is and follow the theme. It's so much fun to join Retro Rubber's challenges. Don't forget to stop by the blog and see all the other design teams creations.

I am using the Penny Black background stamp called "Autumn Dance". It was released in 2014. The sentiment is from Stampin Up set called "Six Sayings" which was a hostess set in August 2015.  I used distress inks to make my background and then stamped the background stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa.  I then used versamark to stamp my sentiment and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I added some ribbon at the bottom of the sentiment to give it some more dimension.  To finish off my card, I sprayed it with some Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold (see pic below).

Closer look at the card, can you see the gold spray?

I hope you have been inspired by my card and will join the challenge. You have until October 7th to hop on over to Retro Rubber to join the challenge. Remember to use a stamp over a year old and make sure you tell us how old it is. I cannot wait to see your creation! Leave me a comment to tell me how you liked my card, I love to read them. Thanks for stopping by, come back again soon!!

CottageCutz - Give Thanks

Sunday, September 25, 2016

Hello everyone,

I am here with the Scrapping Cottage Blog sharing a few of the newest Fall CottageCutz dies that were just released.  If you missed it, you can find them here.  I don't know about you, but I love the colors and the smell of Fall.  The bright orange, browns, reds and yellows are so vibrant and makes the earth look so beautiful.  Even though the leaves have not started to change, today it feels like Fall may be here soon.

I am also stopping over at the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop to play along with this wonderful group of people who love making "Coffee" related cards.  Stop over and see all the sponsors who have some great prizes you can win.

I am featuring several of the new Autumn release dies, so lets get started on how I created my card.

1.  A2 card - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,
2.  The first layer is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,
3.  I cut the solid layer with the CottageCutz Rectangle Set (the largest die),
4.  I cut all the elements that I am going to use on the card
,
5.  I inked the coffee cup from the Peppermint Latte set (isn't it cool that it is meant to be a Christmas set, but this set is so versatile you can change it up) and the small pumpkin from the Harvest Scarecrow set, the leaf  "Give Thanks" sentiment came from the Give Thanks set,
6.  I added all the elements to my card and glued them with wet glue.

a2z Scrapbooking - Peace, Love, & Joy

Saturday, September 24, 2016

I am back again with a2z Scrapbooking  challenge which is "Make It A Tag"! I hope you have had a chance to join the fun.  You have to use at least one Hero Arts image on your card. Please go to the a2z blog and see what the talented design team has created. You can add your project to the inlinkz  here.

Here is my take on the tag challenge.

Closer look at the tag

Here is how I assembled the tag card:

I am using the Hero Arts Joy Stamp and Cut set.  The tag is the new Hero Arts Nesting Tag Dies.   I made the tag into a card, I took at piece of paper 4 x 5 and scored.  I then took the die and placed it on the paper, making sure the top of the tag was above the scroe line. I added the layers on the tag.  I die cut the joy out of some red cardstock, I placed it on the tag where I wanted it to be and stamped the sentiment.  To finish the tag, I added some ribbon, twine and some little bells I had in my stash.

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can also use the code "Donna15" to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.  The Joy Stamp and Cut has sold out, but you can request it on the left side of the blog.  and don't forget you can get 15% off your order.

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge this month! You will have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store! Good luck and please come back again soon!

Hello everyone,

I am here with Prickley Pear today and I am featuring one of their newly released stamp sets called "Coffee Cup".  This is a wonderful set, there are so many different coffee cups that you can make endless projects with it.  Today, I have made a gift K-cup holder showcasing the set Coffee Cup Clear Set and matching Coffee Cup Die Set.  Christmas will be here soon and this would be a perfect gift for a teacher or someone who loves coffee!

I cut the box out with my silhouette, added some design paper on the sides, and tied a bow around it.  I cut out a gift tag, added some design paper on it, stamped my coffee cups from the Coffee Cup set, added my sentiments, die cut them with the Coffee Cup die and adhered them to the tag.  This is a quick and easy gift to make!

Another view of the box.
