D. Idlet, Gerda Steiner Cupcake Mice, Retro Rubber Challenge, sketch

I've created an A2 size card. The stamp set I am using from Gerda Steiner Designs is called "Cupcake Mice" that was released in May 2023. I created the background by following the sketch above.  I die cut a circle and ink blended the center and stamped the sentiment from the Cupcake Mice set.  I stamped die cut and colored the image and poped it onto the circle.

Here is my card for your inspiration. I've created a St Patrick's Day card just in time for St. Patrick's Day on March 17th.  The stamp I am using is by Simon Says Stamps called "Gnome Lucky"  that was released in February 10, 2022. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  The paper I used is from Photoplay called "Lot's of Luck".

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge which all about circles....use circle stamps, circle shapes and or paper on your card. Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations!

This is such a fun challenge, the background stamp I used is one of my favorite stamp sets.  The stamp set is by Hero Arts called "Circle Pattern Bold Prints" which was released in January 2020.  The "rainbow" die set and sentiment is from Waffle Flowers called Oversize Rainbow Stamp Set, which was released June 2021.  


Here is how I put the card together:
  • Created an A2 card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
  • Stamp the background "Circle Pattern Bold Prints" with black ink and then embossed with clear embossing powder.  
  • Ink blend rainbow colors within the circles using Gina K. Designs 
  •  Die cut the Layers Using Gina K. Designs Master Layouts 1.
  • Stamped the sentiment with versamark and added white embossing powder and heat embossed.
  • Die cut the sentiment with a sentiment strip.
  • Assembled the card.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The stamp set I used for the sentiment is by Taylored Expressions called "Simple Strips Background" that was released April 2019.


Here is how I put the card together:
  • Created an A2 card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
  • Ink blended a piece of white paper with green and burnt orange distress inks.
  • Die cut the panel with a die from my stash.
  • Stamped the sentiment with versamark and added white embossing powder and heat embossed.
  • Die cut the sentiment with a sentiment strip.
  • Die cut the leaves that were from my stash in gold paper.
  • Assembled the card and added some enamel dots to finish off the card.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The stamp set I used on my card is by Gina K. Designs called Better Together which is a mini stamp set that was released December 2016.



Here is how I put the card together:
  1. Created an A2 card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
  2. Masked off the center and ink blended.
  3. Stamped the silhouette stamp set Better Together with black ink and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.
  4. Assembled the card and some rhinestones to finish off the card.

Here is my card for your inspiration.  My tic tac toe is dry embossing which I used a Simon Says Stamp embossing folder called Floral Centerpiece.  Pattern Paper from my stash I used on the sides of the card and I used a Gina K. Designs die called Hugs.  The stamp set I used on my card is by Gina K. Designs called Hugs which is a mini stamp set that was released along with the hugs die in April 2019.

Here is how I put the card together:

  • Created an A2 card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • Embossed the top layer with SSS Floral Centerpiece embossing folder.  Inked the embossing folder and then ran the layer through the die cut machine.
  • Stamped and die cut the the word die and sentiment and added to the card.
  • Assembled the card and some sequence to finish off the card.

I am using a few stamp sets from Mama Elephant called Hello Friend Wishes Stamp.  The stamp set was released in June 2016. Love the bold sentiment that is perfect for a quick card to give to a friend.



Here is my card for your inspiration and how I put it together:

  • Created an A2 card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
  • Die cut the top layer from Mama Elephants Mod Heart die set, I ink blended three of the five colors that should have been used for the challenge....they are bright orange, bright yellow and bright green.
  • Stamped the sentiment in black ink.
  • Assembled and added the heart and some sequence to finish off the card.

Here is my card for your inspiration. My tic tac toe is Masculine, Embossing and Stripes.  I am using Honey Bee Stamp set called Car Show stamp set which was released in July 2019 and the sentiment is from Concord and 9th Hooray stamp set which was released in August 2017.


My card is an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, I die cut the first layer 4 1/4 x 5 /12, I then cut the next layer 3 x 3 7/8. I cut some stripes in various colors of blue.  I used some circle dies to cup the middle.  I then stamped and embossed the sentiment from the the Concord and 9th Hooray stamp set.  I stamped the car from the Car Show stamp set and colored it with copics.

Here is my card for your inspiration. I am using Honey Bee stamp set called Build a Bee. The set was released in April 2017.


My card is an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, I cut the background layering die from my stash. I layered everything together and added it to the base f the card.  I stamped and colored the bees from the "build a Bee" stamp set and used foam tape to add them to my card.  The sentiment is from Photo Play Sweet as Honey stamp set.

Here is my card for your inspiration. I am using Honey Bee stamp set called Piece of Cake. The set was released in January 2019.


My card is an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, I cut the background paper from a die in my stash. I then die cut the stitched circle die and added it to the card.  I stamped the images and colored them with copics.  I did cut them out and added them to the card.  I stamped the sentiment with versamark and added black embossing powder and heat set it.  I die cut it and added it to my card.  I finished off my card by adding some stickles to give the cake some sparkle.

Here is my card for your inspiration. I am using Pretty Pink Posh stamp set called Koala Friends.  The set was released in June 2018. 


My card is an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, I cut the background paper from a paper pad in my stash.  I then die cut the top white panel and stamp the sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh stamp set Koala Friends.  I stamped and die cut the images from the Koala Friends and colored with copics.  I then added them to the card with foam squares.  I die cut the back two pieces and added it to the card and then added the top piece.

Here is my card for your inspiration. I am using Honey Bee stamps and dies to create my card. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Rainbow Wishes which was released in April 2019. The rainbow was cut from the coordinating dies to the stamp set called Rainbow Wishes cuts, and the background was created using Honey Bee's Radiant Circle Background.


My card is an A2 card, I cut the two layers using Gina K. Designs Master Layouts 1, I then die die cut the Honey Bee's Radiant Circle Background with the white layer and ink blended the background. I then die cut the rainbow in rainbow colors and die cut the clouds. I adhered everything together an then popped them up onto the card. I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder and die cut the sentiment from the Rainbow Wishes cuts and adhered it to the card. I finished the card off by adding some rainbow enamel hearts to my card.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The set I am using is from Stampin Up which is called Perennial Birthday stamp set. The set was released in June 2018. 
 

My card is an A2 card, I embossed the background with an embossing folder in my stash.  I cut the pennants with woodgrain paper and added it to my card.  I stamp the sentiment from the stamp set Perennial Birthday.  I finished off the card by adding some sequins.  This would be a great masculine card.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The set I am using is from Stampin Up which is called Painted Harvest Stamp Set. The set was released in September 2017. 


My card is an A2 card, I stamped the background with the sunflower from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set.  I then stamped a single sunflower and stamped the sentiment, then die cut it out and added a frame around it and adhered it to my card.

Happy Spring everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well and being safe with everything that is going on right now.  I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a fun tic tac toe created by design team member Jan Clothier! I hope you have been enjoying her tic tac toe games, because I have!  I used the Easter, die cut or punch and baby animal to make my tic tac toe.

The stamp set I used is from Taylored Expressions "Flip the Script - Bunny Tag Stamp and Die Combo" the background stamp is also Taylored Expressions called "Backstory - Easter Background" which both were released in February 2019.

 If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. Here is the sketch for you to use. I cannot wait to see you take on it.



Here is my card for your inspiration.  

I used designer paper on the background of my A2 card, I stamped the background with a light pink ink, I cut it to size and added a black background for the border.  I stamped the image in a darker pink and then die cut it out.  I used foam tape to pop the image onto the card.

Retro Rubber Challenge #127 - Thank You

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is one of my favorite's, Tic Tac Toe challenge.  I used the 4x4, die cut and thanks for my tic tac toe that I am sharing with you today. 


If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. I cannot wait to see you take on it.

My card, I did not use a stamp on my card, the die cut is a Simon Says Stamp die called Thank You Script Shadow Wafer Die that was released in December 2018.

Here is my card for your inspiration.

I love making backgrounds so when I need a card I have them already to go.  I made this background by using alcohol inks with Yupo paper.  I cut the piece to 4 x 4 and put it on a card base measuring 4x4.  I then die cut the Thank You Shadow with black cardstock and then cut the script thank you with the alcohol ink background.  I used foam tape to pop this up on my card.

Happy Holiday's everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is Christmas is All Around.  I feel like Christmas is all around too, this is my favorite time of year.  I love decorating and spending time with my family.  I wish all of you who celebrate a Merry Christmas.

Here is my card and how I created it:

The stamp I used is from Gina K. Designs and is from the stamp set called "Noel" it was released in October 2016. 

My card is an A2 card, the DSP is cut at 4 x 5 1/4, I die cut a circle and stamped the sentiment.  I die cut two fishtail and added it to the circle and adhered it to my card.  Quick and simple.

Hello everyone!

Where did the summer go! I can't believe we are almost in mid-September, in my area we are still having 80-90 degree weather. I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is an inspirational photo, "Fall Colors". I hope you decide to join in on the fun!

Here is my card for your inspiration.  I am using the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background stamp that was released in September 2017 and the leaf and sentiment is from the Concord & 9th Stamp set Lace Leaf which coordinating die set Grateful Leaf dies which was also released in September 2017.

My card is very simple, I stamped the background with the Barnwood Background stamp on cream cardstock, I then stamped the leaf using Kaleidacolor Desert Heat ink, I then die cut three "grateful" from the Grateful Leaf die set and added it to my card, I stamped the sentiment from the Lace Leaf set.  I finished it off by ink blending the edges and adding some splatters to the background.

Now onto my take on the challenge, I was so inspired with the holiday challenge.  I had this paper in my stash called "Snowman and Penguins" by Craft Creations LTD, I bought from White Rose Crafts.  I just had to use it on this challenge.  The stamp I used on my card to stamp the sentiment is by Stampin Up called Wondrous Wreath, it was released in 2014 in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I believe the stamp set is retired.

My card is a 5 x 5 card, I cut the image from my paper to 4 7/8 x 4 7/8, I cut come of the images from the paper and fuzzy cut it and used foam tape to pop the images on the card.  I stamped the sentiment from Stampin Up's Wondrous Wreath.  To finish the card, I added some dew drops.


closer look at the card.  I added the little penguin and pop it up with foam tape and two of the presents are popped up using foam tape
