I have had this stamp set in my collection for quite a while, so I was so happy to see what the challenge was!  This set is called "Color My World" from WPlus 9.  This set has so many elements that you can create some wonderful cards.  The stamp set was released om February 5, 2016.  I had scrap pieces of paper, so I die cut them out and inked the edges, I used copics to color in the words and the paint tubes.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. You have until March 10th to join in on the fun! Leave me a comment to tell me how you liked my card, I love to read them.

Christmas Card Challenges - Color Inspiration #7

Sunday, February 26, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here with the Christmas Card Challenges, and the challenge is an inspirational photo, see below:

Here is my take on the challenge:

I am using the Poppystamps die which is called "Ornament Trio Cutout".  I added some glitter paper behind the ornaments which matches some of the color of the inspirational photo.  To finish my card off, I added some ribbon to each ornament and added the sentiment.

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge. You will have two weeks to complete your project. Check out the Christmas Card Challenges blog for more inspiration and to link your project.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon!

Joy Clair - Be Brave

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Hello everyone!

The February release with Joy Clair is amazing!  I am showcasing the new stamp set called "Be Brave". Have you noticed a theme in this release this month?  It's all about being yourself, being free and being strong.  What have you gotten out of this release?   This months theme is watercoloring, I love the technique of emboss resist.

Here is my card:

JC_Be Brave_D Idlet

Here is how I put my card together:
  1.   A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,
  2. . I used Ranger Watercolor paper (I always use the smooth side of the paper), I die cut     the paper with a stitched die to give it some dimension,
  3.  I  used the feather from the "Be Brave" stamp set, I stamped it with versamark and  then applied white embossing powder to the stamped image,
  4.  I then heat embossed the image,
  5.  I let the image cool,
  6. Then I applied some blue watercolor paint directly on and around my embossed  image,
  7.  I stamped my sentiment with Archival Black ink using my Misti so it would be exactly  where I wanted it,
  8.  I finished my card by adding some foam dots.

Please follow Joy Clair's facebook page, Color by Faith Bible Journaling Facebook page, Instagram and Twitter, be the first to hear the news, sales and giveaways! They also have a Pinterest page and YouTube channel for your inspiration!

A Blog Named Hero - Hip Hip Hooray!

Monday, February 20, 2017

Hello everyone!
http://www.janesdoodles.com/

I am here with A Blog Named Hero and this month we are collaborating with, Jane’s Doodles.  Jane Doodles stamps are so adorable and they are easy to stamp and color.  You must go check out her store and blog to see all the adorable stamps she has to offer!

A Blog Named Hero's February challenge is "CAS", for those of you that don't know what "CAS" is, it means "Clean and Simple", your card should have minimal embellishments, lots of “white” (or empty) space with minimal layers.  So, if you have been following my blog, that is hard for me to do, but with Jane Doodles - Party Time stamp set, I was able to pull it off!  And I was able to match the perfect sentiment from Hero Arts stamp set called "Tassels".

I used the Hero Arts Soft Granite Shadow ink and stamped off, so the cake image was faint in the background.  I then stamped the cake image with Memento on a separate piece of x-press it paper and fuzzy cut it out.  I then colored the cake with Copic Markers (R27, 47 and 58).  I then added some stickles for the icing.  I stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts black in.  To finish the card off, I added some enamel dots.  There you have it, a CAS card, lots of white space and no layering.

The challenge ends at 11:59PM EST on February 27th and the winner will be announced shortly after!  Please add your card using the linky tool here.  I can’t wait to see what you create!
