Tuesday, December 25, 2018

Merry Christmas everyone!

I pray that everyone is having a wonderful day celebrating the season with family and friends! I could not resist using this cute stamp set by Joy Clair called Christmas Penguins! It is such a cute set (I know I think I say this about all of Joy Clair sets). This set has a penguin and you can stamp different outfits on the it.

There are still a couple of days for you to join the Joy Clair stamps December challenge! As always it is "anything goes" but the design team has an inspirational photo. I hope you will join, one lucky person has the opportunity to win a $25 gift card to the Joy Clair store. You can find all the details here.

Here is my card I created and how I put it together.

I created my background with some distress inks, I then stamped the images and colored them with copics. I fuzzy cut leaves for the tree, adhered three onto the tree and then used foam tape to adhere the other leaves and the coconut. The penguins I stamped and stamped their outfits and used foam tape to pop them onto the card. I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment from the Joy Clair Christmas Penguins set.

Rinea - Merry Christmas Tags

Tuesday, December 4, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Rinea to share some cute Christmas tags created with the Rinea Foiled Papers.  These are perfect for the gifts that you have to wrap for the holidays!  Can you believe Christmas is just 23 days away?  Have you finished your shopping and making you cards?

For my tags I am using the Rinea Artist's Packs Variety Frosted and Variety Jolly.  These are beautiful holiday colors and would be perfect for any holiday project you may have!

Here is how I created my tags:

1.  I die cut all the elements for the tags.

2.  I used liquid glue to adhere all he pieces to my tag.

3.  For the candy cane tag and the Christmas tree tag, I used dies to create the images, using the Rinea Foiled Jolly paper.  I used some foiled paper in the background so the images would stand out.  I added some rhinestones on the candy cane tag and the Christmas tag along with a snowflake at the top of the tree.  The beautiful blue tag created with the Rinea Foiled paper Frosted I added some snowflakes die cut with the foiled paper.  I added some dew drops in the center of the snowflakes.

4.  To finish the tags off, I added the strings by using foiled paper.

The back of the tags.

Another close look of the tags.

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog Challenge #101 - Happy Holidays

Tuesday, December 4, 2018

Hello everyone,

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new inspirational holiday challenge.  I hope you enjoyed hopping along with the design team celebrating Retro Rubber's Challenge Blog 100th challenge.  I had fun and the winner of my blog is Alicia from Golden Goddess Designs, please send me a message at didlet@aol.com so I can get you your prize!  In the subject line, please put "RRCB 100th Winner".

If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. Here is the sketch for you to use. I cannot wait to see you take on it.

Now onto my take on the challenge, I was so inspired with the holiday challenge.  I had this paper in my stash called "Snowman and Penguins" by Craft Creations LTD, I bought from White Rose Crafts.  I just had to use it on this challenge.  The stamp I used on my card to stamp the sentiment is by Stampin Up called Wondrous Wreath, it was released in 2014 in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I believe the stamp set is retired.

Image may contain: text

My card is a 5 x 5 card, I cut the image from my paper to 4 7/8 x 4 7/8, I cut come of the images from the paper and fuzzy cut it and used foam tape to pop the images on the card.  I stamped the sentiment from Stampin Up's Wondrous Wreath.  To finish the card, I added some dew drops.

closer look at the card.  I added the little penguin and pop it up with foam tape and two of the presents are popped up using foam tape
