Designs illustrator is Theresa Momber which is called Framescapes Tropical Skies released on July 10, 2017 the sentiment is from the stamp set called My Island, illustrator is Claire Brennan which was released July 2016.  I used some purple tap to separate the water and sand and used a blending tool to add the ink.  I then stamped the frame with the trees, added the sun and the people holding hand and finished my card off by adding the sentiment.  If you are interested in these sets the links are at the bottom of this email.

Day 2- Autumn Wreath Builder, New Incentive (Peace Roses)

Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to day two of the Gina K. Designs Hot Summer Release!  I hope you have been inspired by all the samples the design teams has posted.  I have been really inspired and I've seen that some of you have already gotten your orders and have created some projects.  I saw Gina posted yesterday the stencil wreath builder is out of stock, but no worries, it will be back in stock in about two weeks, keep checking the store!

Today we are featuring the Gina K. Designs Autumn Wreath builder and Autumn Wreath stamp set and the new incentive stamp Peace Roses.  Both of these sets are fabulous!  If you missed the release party last week, here are the cards I created with these sets.

Autumn Wreath Builder by Gina K.

I decided to use the new background stencil Mega Flowers which I used deco foil transfer gel and Fancy Foils Turquoise Sea and used the sentiment and a couple of elements from the wreath builder set.  I love this stamp set, because the sentiments are wonderful for any card making.  All the supplies I used are linked below.

Peaceful Roses- New Incentive

This card is made with the new incentive set which is FREE with any $75.00 order. I stamped the image on some acetate (it's a little hard to see in the picture) in Gina K. Designs gold embossing powder. I framed the acetate with a black frame and added it to the card base.  Most of the supplies I used for this card are below.  I am also entering this card into the Monthly Mix Challenge which is hosted by design team member Cat.  The challenge is You bet your sweet acetate.  Come join the fun, you can entered your project here.

Christmas In July with Joy Clair Stamps

Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair stamps and we are celebrating Christmas in July.  One of my favorite type of card to make are Christmas cards, how about you?

My card is made from the Joy Clair stamp set Christmas Penguin.  This is such a cute stamp set, it has 8 penguins in the set.  I used three and I used different mediums on each.  For the background I masked off four sides of the layer, I then used distressed inks to get the blue background.  I then embossed the layer with an embossing folder.  I colored the penguins with copics and used foam tape to add them to my card.  I finished my card off by adding the sentiment from the Joy Clair Merry Christmas Sentiments.

Closer look at my card, the first penguin I used Liquid Applique, the second penguin, I colored the ornaments with copics and used glossy accents to make them shinny and the last penguin I used stickles on the snowflakes on the hat.

Day 1 - Gina K. Designs Hot Summer Release- Part 2

Monday, July 23, 2018

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to part 2 of the Gina K. Designs Hot Summer Release.  I hope you enjoyed our release party last week.  If you missed it, you can see the beautiful cards over on StampTV.  If you want to see my cards, click here.

I am so in love with this release!  Lisa Hetrick's Just a Little stamp set is amazing!  There are so many possibilities with this stamp set, ok, I think I said that about the last release and probably the release before that.  Every release seems to get better and I can't help to say there are so many possibilities.  Lisa's set is so versitle, you can even use her Hello Beautiful and You Are with this set!

Just a Little
Illustrated by  Lisa McClelland Hetrick

Here is the card I am sharing with you today.  My card is 3 1/2 x 5, I stamped the background with the background stripes from the Just a Little stamp set using Gina K. Wild Dandelion ink.  I stamped off, so the yellow would not be so bright.  I stamped the flower image with Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink - Jet Black and  colored it with copics.  I fuzzy cut the small rose and the other flower from the Just a Little stamp set, I colored the rose with copics, and then used the solid image from the stamp set and stamped it with Gina K. Wild Dandelion ink.  I used foam tape and popped the flowers onto the card.  I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment.

Closer look so you could see I painted some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer - Glitter Gloss over the flowers.

Grand Garden
Illustrated by Alicia Krupsky

My second card I am showcasing the beautiful Grand Garden by Alicia Krupsky. This stamp set is grand! I love this flower, again there are so many possibilities. I am so proud of my card, I decided I was going to tackle no line coloring. I thought this would be a great stamp set to do it with since the image is so large. I love how it turned out. I am going to keep practicing so maybe one day I will be able to color like my design team mate Arjita. This card is an A2 card, I stamped the flower image in the background with my favorite color Gina K. designs Passionate Pink. I stamped the sentiment and placed the leaves and flower where I wanted them to be. I used foam tape to pop the flower up. I finished the card off by adding some crystal drops.

Another look at my card.

Rinea - Star Box

Saturday, July 21, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Rinea with a project I made with the Patriotic Variety Pack foiled paper pack. I love the rich colors of the red, blue and silver! There are several colors in the pack and you get 12 sheets that measure 6"x12". If you have not used these papers before, you should check them out. The papers are so easy to work with.

Closer look at the star

Here is how I made the box:

1. I started out with a star shaped box, I cut a stripe from the blue star foiled paper from the Patriotic Variety Pack foiled paper pack and glued it onto the box

Here is how the bottom of the box looks once I glued the stripe onto the box,

2.  I traced the top of the box with the silver foiled paper from the Patriotic Variety Pack, I cut the star a little larger so I would have some hang over so the seams would be smooth, I also cut a strip for top of the star too, then I glued everything to the box,

3.  I cut the stars and flag from die cuts and added them to my box,
4.  I stamped the rockets and colored them with copics and added some glossy accents to give the rockets some dimension.

I loved how this project turned out, it's perfect to put some mints, money or even jewelry in it.  I think I'm going to have to keep this for myself!

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon.

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair, I hope you have enjoyed and have been inspired by the design team projects using the Leisure Art products.  All month we have been using the Leisure Arts premium colored pencils and water color pencils.  Today I am using the premium colored pencils.  They are so nice and blend really well.  I love how they go down on the paper, the pencils are so smooth.

Here is my card:

Another view of the card:

Here is how I put my card together:

1.  1.  My card is an A2 card, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,

2.  The next two layers measures 4 x 5 1/4 and 3 7/8 x 5,

3.  For my background, I stamped the splotches from the stamp set with versamark ink, I then added some clear embossing powder and heat set it,

4.  I took several inks and added it to my paper using a blending tool,

5.  I then took the blending tool and added some back ink over the layer (called heat resist)

6.  I stamped and cut the images out on my card with the scan and cut,

7.  I colored the images using the Premium Colored Pencils and added them to the card.

Come back Monday and Tuesday for a two day blog hop to get more inspiration on the new summer release!

Here are my cards:

Just a Little
Illustrated by  Lisa McClelland Hetrick

This card is made with the stamp set Just a Little, I stamped and fuzzy cut the flowers and colored them with copics.  I added some leave in the background and popped my flowers up.  I finished the card off by adding the sentiment.

My second card make with the Just a Little set I used some distressed inks in the background, I used the new stencil (links are below for all the new stencils) Nature's Elegance.  I stamped the flower image with black ink.  This card is clean and simple, but I think very elegant!

Grand Garden
Illustrated by Alicia Krupsky
This card is from the Grand Garden Illustrated by Alicia Krupsky, I love the font in this stamp set.  The font in this set goes so well with the Gina K. Stitched Leaves stamp set and dies.  I used another newly released stencil called Square Mandela.  I used ink daubers with the stencil.  I used Gina K. Designs inks Wild Dandelion and Tangerine Twist.  The friend is a die that is in the GKD store, I stamped the image with black ink and finished the card off by adding some black enamel dots.

I think this flower is my favorite of all the Gina K. Design flowers!  (I know, I think I say this about each new flower).  The background I used a paint brush and added the stripes to the card panel (Lisa's set gave me the idea to do the stripes in the background).  I then splattered some black ink on the background and added my sentiment.  This flower is so versatile you can do all types of techniques with this.  I stamped the flower with versamark and used the Gina K. Designs clear embossing powder, I then used a sponge dauber and added ink to the flowers and leaves, the technique is emboss resist.  I fuzzy cut these out, painted some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer - Glitter Gloss to the flower, then added foam tape and added them to my card.  The shimmer is so pretty on the flowers, I could not get a good pic to show you.

Autumn Wreath Builder by Gina K.

I am using the Autumn Wreath Stamp set for this card.  I used the 4" template stencil that is now available separately to create the wreath.  I fuzzy cut some of the pumpkins out and popped them up on my card.  Love the sayings and the script in this stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment and added the acorn, I then die cut it out with circle dies.

I used the Autumn Wreath Stamp set and the 4" stencil for this card too.  This card is clean and simple.  I stamped the images, added the circle and sentiment in the middle of the wreath.

Peaceful Roses- New Incentive

My last card is made with the new incentive stamp set called Peaceful Roses, you can earn this set FREE with any $75.00 order.  I stamped the rose with versamark and used Gina K.'s rose gold embossing powder.  I then colored it with colored pencils.

Closer look, see the sparkle...I used Nuvo Aqua Shimmer - Glitter Gloss

Here are the pics and links to the new stencils

Retro Rubber Challenge #91 - Sketch

Tuesday, July 17, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a sketch! Thank you Claire for such a cute sketch! I love it.

If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. Here is the sketch for you to use. I cannot wait to see you take on it.
No automatic alt text available.

Here is my take on the challenge. My card is an A2 card, it's clean and simple. The sentiment I used on my card is an oldie but goody stamp set that I love from Hero Arts called Year Round Sentiments. This stamp set was released sometime in December 2014.  This set is so versatile, it has many sentiments for anytime of the year.
