Thank You

Hello All,

I am popping in to share this beautiful Thank You card.  I love the bold colors and how the black butterfly just makes the card pop.  The technique is an ombre effect.  I masked off a half inch on each side and sponged three different colors for the background.  The butterfly is from Stampin Up's Butterflies Thinlits Dies, which is back in stock.  This card was inspired by Andrea Wolford.  She is such a talented designer and I love her work.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon.

Let Your Dreams Set Sail

Saturday, May 9, 2015

Hello everyone,

I am here with a2z Scrapbooking May challenge, which is "anything goes", I don't know about you, but I love challenges with anything goes.  I have created a card that can be used for a high school or college graduate, a new job or even a wedding.  I love this stamp set, it has so many endless possibilities.

I wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy Mother's Day!  I hope you all enjoy your day on Sunday and hopfully you will be able to spend the day relaxing and creating.  Now onto my card.....

I choose to make an unusal card.  I cut an A2 card, then took a circle die and cut a half circle at the top.  I then cut the top layer and used a little larger die to cut another half circle.  I cut a circle using the Lil Inker stitched circle dies and then cut a smaller one to stamp the sentiment.  I adhered the two pieces together and put them on the cut circle on top of the card.  I then stamp the shells on a piece of white cardstock using my misti.  I wanted to make sure the shells were lined straight.  You can't see it, but I added some clear wink of stella on the shells.  I then cut two more circles to add on top of the shells.  I stamped the images on the top circle.  Well, what do you think about the card?  Is this something you would make?  You can hop on over to the a2z Scrapbooking Store and purchase this set.  It is called the Sail.  I also hope you will stop in and play along with the May challenge.  The theme again is anything goes, remember to use at least one Hero Arts stamp set or product on your card.
