Peg Bow Maker

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

I'm so excited that I wanted to share with you a new tool I received in the mail a couple of days ago.  It is a bow maker by Becca Feeken, I don't know if you have seen her work, but she is very artistic and creates beautiful work.  She designs for Spellbinder, Waltzingmouse Stamps, and Our Daily Bread Designs and probably many more that I have not mentioned. If you have never check her out, click here to visit her blog.  You will be mesmerized by her work and will continue to check her blog out everyday as I do.  Below is a picture of the bow maker still in the package, I plan to put it together this weekend and try and create beautiful bows like Becca does.  I forgot to mention it comes with a DVD of instructions!  If you are interested in purchasing one, click here.  This bow maker has gotten great reviews and I don't think you will be disappointed.

As always, thanks for checking out my blog, stay tuned to see how my bows come out, using the bow maker.

Well, old man winter blew in yesterday, it was a cold crisp day.  Today is suppose to be a little warmer with less wind.  I guess we should not complain about the cold coming in, because old man winter has been very nice to us!

Here is another birthday card I wanted to share with you.  I am loving this new stamp set called Elementary Elegance.  You will see more cards made out of this I am sure.  If you like the set you can go to my Stampin Up rep Keisha site, and she can tell you how you can earn it for free!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Sunday.  I am off to a class to decorate a cigar box, they are beautiful when they are decorated.  The class is at a scrapbooking store that does all kinds of classes.  The store is called "The Queens Ink", click here if you are interested in visiting the store.

En Francais Birthday

TGIF Bloggers!

This week has been a great one.  I only had to work three days out of the week.  The weather is crazy nice for February!  I wonder what March is going to bring?

Here is a card I made last night.  I think I have a favorite stamp!  I am loving this En Francais background stamp.  I know it is not new, but I went to a stamp camp a couple of weeks ago and the demonstrator showed us how to use this great stamp.  I don't know about you, but it is always a challenge for me to line the paper up on the stamp to get a nice clean image.  With that being said, she taught us to take a sheet of computer paper, take the stamp and put it toward the end of the paper, ink your stamp up good, take the paper you want the image to be on and lay it on top of the stamp, take the computer paper and wrap it on top of the stamp and rub, walla, you have a nice clean image with no smears!!!  Love this stamp.  I have stamped this stamp on some darker paper and used the white embossing power and it looks beautiful, now I just need to design a card.  Stay tune!

Good morning and happy Friday bloggers!

I had so much fun making these cards.  The sentiments are from Verve Stamps and Our Daily Bread Design Stamps.  They are very simple and clean.  I left the inside blank so if I need to write a note.  I CASE this card from here.  Thank you so much for looking at my blog.  If you like my cards, please leave a comment and follow me.
This is an Our Daily Bread Design stamp.

The last two cards are Verve Stamps.

I used SU Kraft paper for the base of the card and bazzill for the butterfuly which was embossed with SU butterfly embosslit.

Hello Bloggers,

I hope your week is going well so far.  I joined my first two swaps ever.  One is a thank you swap and the other is a birthday swap.  I wanted to share the cards with you.  I can't wait to mail them off and get my swap cards back.  I will share with you what I get when I get them.  One of the swaps is due next month and one in April.  I enjoyed making these and whoever gets them I hope they like them.  I put a lot of thought into what I was going to create.  If you are interested in card swaps check splitcoaststampers.com out.  I also joined a "punched art" swap.  I have never created any punched art cards, but I am taking a class at the end of the month.  I can't wait to share them with you.

As always, thanks for checking my blog out.  If you like my blog, please follow me and leave a comment.

Here are my cards for the swap:

Happy Monday bloggers!

My six month old grand-daughter went to her first birthday party on Saturday.  I didn't go, but my daughter said she had a great time.  Here is a picture of the card I made for the little two year old girl.  I was inspired by a card Andrea Wolford made.  I will probably make this card a standard for children under five!  What a cute card.  Check out her blog to see it!  As always, thanks for looking, if you like the card please leave a comment.

CASE FROM Our Daily Bread

Sunday, February 5, 2012

Congratulations all you Giant fans!  That was a good game, they were teasing us for a while there.  What did you think about the half time show with Madona?  While I was in and out of the game, I was creating a card that I have been wanting to try for a while.  I bought this stamp set at the Great American Scrapbook show in Chantilly last year.  It is a very nice set, if you are interested in it you can click here http://ourdailybreaddesigns.com/CrochetedBackground.html for the background stamp and here http://ourdailybreaddesigns.com/ServetheLord.html  for the flower and sentiment if you are interested in ordering it.  It has some very nice scripture sentiments too.

I go on the Our Daily Bread blog (ODBD) often and every Saturday they come out with a challenge.  I have never done one and decided to do one this week.  This weeks challenge is to CASE (for those of you who do not know what CASE means, it is "Copy and Share Everything") a card and change a few things from the card.  I used a different card base, and used ribbon instead of the crochet border from the stamp set.  I cased the card from Dawn Lusk, here is the link:  http://dawnanewday.blogspot.com/2011/05/sneak-peek-and-fun-project-too.html.

I wanted to share another Valentine card with you.  Again, I love how this card turned out.  I am loving these dies from memory box.  I must say, I have bought quite a few, so you may be seeing these on a lot of my cards.

That's all for now, I hope you have a wonderful week.  I hope to post a few more cards this week.

Mojo Monday 226 - Best Wishes

Friday, February 3, 2012

Hello Bloggers,

It has been a busy week!  The week is coming to an end and I am just finishing up my Mojo Monday card.  I must say I am so proud of myself, this is the third week in a row I have done the Mojo Monday.  This weeks card was really a challenged.  It took me all week to figure out how to complete the front of my card.  I hope you like it!

I am so excited about the weekend, I am going to a all day crop that I was invited to.  I plan to work on my granddaughters scrap book.  She is almost six months old and I have not put one picture in the album.  So this weekend I am finally going to do it!  I will share a page or two with you later.

As alway, thanks for checking out my page.  I love reading your comments on my cards, if you like this please leave one.
