Hello again bloggers,

Happy Friday bloggers,

I hope your week has gone well....I am so happy to see Friday.  I don't have a lot going on this weekend, which is a good thing, hopefully I can be a little creative.  My mom is visiting, we will spend time with her.  My youngest niece is turning 14, we will be celebrating with her.  Happy Birthday Danielle!  Enough about what I am going to do this weekend.

I want to share my card with you, I love the way it turned out.  I'm not sure what the technique is called, I embossed the cardstock  (Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana) with white embossing powder, then I took the matching ink to the paper and sponged the inside of the flower.  There are so many possibilities with this stamp set!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my card.  I hope you take some time and check out the rest of my blog.  If you like this card, please leave a comment, I love reading them.  If you enjoy my blog, please follow me....click on the link on the right side of my blog "follow me".

Mojo 298 - Happy 4th

Friday, June 21, 2013

Hello Bloggers,

I hope your weekend is going well....Happy 1st day of summer!  Today was a beautiful day, I enjoyed it very much.  I 'm so happy I took the time last night (ok, early this morning) to create my card for the Mojo Monday sketch this week.  I enjoyed working with this sketch.  The paper I used, I used before on another post, but I love this line made by Authentique, it is called Pride.  This paper is very versatile.

I received my prize from Verve stamps Thursday and could not wait to use it.  I chose the new stamp set "Let It Be".  It is a very nice stamp set.  I also purchased "Shining Star" and the star dies that can be used with this set.  I used the star die on the card.  Love this star, I don't know about you, but I am very particular about  my stars.  I like the ones that are pointed at the ends and not rounded.  Verve star die "starry die" is very nice and pointed and it fits nice on top of Stampin' Up's retired large star, which is also pointed.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.  I hope you take some time and check out my blog.  If you like this card, please leave a comment, I love reading them.  If you enjoy my blog, please follow me....click on the link on the right side of my blog "join this site".

Happy Friday bloggers,

I have a get well card to share with you today.  My sister-in-law, Bernice is in the hospital and I thought I would make a good well card.  I don't have many of these in my stash.  Please keep her in your prayers.  She has MS and has been in the hospital for more than two weeks now.  She has been fighting this disease for a long time.  Thank you for your continued prayers.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Friday, June 14, 2013

Hello Bloggers,

The week is almost over!!!  Yeah, I hope all of you survived the thunderstorm today.  All the hoop-la about the storm and it went right over us.   There were reports of a tornado being sighted just about 15 miles from us, but we did not get anything.  It was really nice that the temperature dropped and the humidity went away.  This world is a tricky thing!

I have a birthday card to share with you.  It is very simple and will take 20-30 minutes to make.  As always, I appreciate you stopping by to see my creations.  If you like my card, leave a comment.  I love reading them.  If you like my blog, please join me.  Click on the "join me" button on the right hand side.

I hope everyone's week is getting off to a great start.  It sure is getting warm here in Northern Virginia.  I think the humidity is on it's way!

I have another simple, but nice card to share with you.  I used the in-color inks and paper from Stampin' Up.  Have you ever noticed that black will go with any color.  It just adds something to a card.  How do you like the new in-colors?  I'm not sure what  my favorite is, what is yours?

Happy Father's Day

Sunday, June 9, 2013

Hello again bloggers,

I have a quick card I wanted to share with you today.  This card anyone can make in less than an hour.  Not much layering....very simple.  The base is a basic A2 card, then I layered basic black and the very vanilla together, cut out a tie and wrapped it around the hanger.  The tie I put some dimensionals in the back and popped it on the embossed piece of paper.  Wah lah stamp your sentiment and it is ready to be sent out!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Mojo Monday 296 - Pride

Wednesday, June 5, 2013

Hello Bloggers,
I am back again this week!  I hope I keep this going.  I love blogging but never seem to make the time to do it.  I have another Father’s Day card to share with you.  I am using the sketch from the Mojo Monday.  I love this sketch and I love how you had the option to use brads.  How many of you use brads on a regular bases?  I don’t, and I have so many!  It is the first Monday of the month one winner will be chosen at random for every 50 entries. You have the chance to win a Verve stamp set of your choice, so be sure to get your entries in!  I won the Mojo Monday a while back.  I was so excited.  I hope I am a lucky winner this month.

I absolutely love this card.  I bought this paper from my favorite scrapbooking store, Goldenshill Paper Craft, located in Northern Virginia.  The paper is from Authentique, called Pride.  There is a nice selection of paper to choose from.  This line can be used for so many things.  Stay tuned, you may see this again for Independence Day!
Here is the recipe for my card.  If you love my card, please leave me a message, I love reading them.  If you enjoy my blog, please join my site.  Scroll down to the bottom on the right hand side and click "join this site".  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Father's Day!

Monday, June 3, 2013

Happy Monday Bloggers!

I hope your Monday was a great one.  I hope you didn't get rained out to much.  I don't know about you, but our grass really needed it.  We have not turned the sprinkler system on yet.  I am looking forward to the mid--70's temperature this week.  I am not complaining, because it took a long while for the weather to warm up.

I have another card that was inspired by Andre Wolford.  If you want to look at her blog, check my card out that I posted yesterday.  I have a link to her blog.  Father's Day is just around the corner.  How many of you have made your cards?  I hope this card will give you some inspiration.  This stamp set is a Stampin Up set named "The Open Sea".  This is such a versatile set for any male cards you may need.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Come back, I am planning to make some more Father's Day cards this week.

Blossoms - Happy Birthday

Monday, June 3, 2013

Hello Bloggers, I cannot believe I have been away so long.  I have not blogged since April 9th.  I have been creating, but have not made the time to blog. I promise I am going to do better!

I don't know about you, but I am excited about the new Stampin' Up catalog that was just released.  So many new items to choose from, what is your favorite stamp set?  I'm still trying to figure out what mine is.  I have reviewed the book a half a dozen times and curling down the pages of my favorite things I want to order.

I have a birthday card I want to share with you.  I just received this stamp set in the mail on Friday and could not wait to make something with it.  It is the Betsy' Blossom set.  I think this has been in the catalog for a while.  I am so happy they did not retire this set.  I love the bright collection of colors from Stampin Up'.  They are so luscious and beautiful.  I have so many projects in my head....but just not enough time to create.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Andrea Walford's blog

Thanks for stopping by, please check back soon for some more of my creations.  If you like this card, please leave a comment, I love reading them.  If you like my blog, please follow me too.
