I've created an A2 size card. The stamp set I am using is from Whimsy Stamps called "Fall Hedgehog" that was released in October 2022. I stamped, die cut and colored the image with copics. The background paper is from my stash. I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment from the Fall Hedgehog stamp set.

The rules to play along with Retro Rubber Challenge is very simple, make sure the stamp you use on your project is at least one year or older. For more details on the rules, you can find them over on Retro Rubber Challenge blog.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The set I am using is from MFT Stamps, Pure Innocence Happy Birthday to You stamp set, which was released July 2017.  I'm guessing this stamp set has been retired, I cannot find it on their website.

My card is an A2 card, I followed the sketch to the "t".  I stamped and die cut the image, I fuzzy cut some paper and added it to the gift box.  I then colored the girl with copics.

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #130 - Sketch

Tuesday, March 10, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a sketch.  I love sketch challenges.  I hope you enjoy creating something with this sketch. If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. I cannot wait to see you take on it.

Here is my take on the sketch challenge. The stamp set I am using is created by Echo Park called Easter Is Here.  It was released in January 2017

My card is an A2 card, I used some design paper from my stash, I stamped the bold Easter sentiment onto the design paper, I stamped the "some bunny loves you" on a separate piece of paper and cut them out to match the sketch.  This was a fun one!

RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE BLOG #118 - Sketch

Tuesday, August 27, 2019

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a sketch.
If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. I cannot wait to see you take on it.

Here is my take on the sketch:

The stamp set I am using is created by Avery Elle Toucan Party, it was released in February 2018.

My card is an A2 card, my design paper is cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, I then cut the square panel, stamped the sentiment, I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black, cut them out using my scan and cut and then colored with copics.  I laid the elements where I wanted them, adhered the floral and balloon images on with adhesive, then used foam squares to adhere the toucans.

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #59 - Sketch Challenge

Tuesday, March 28, 2017

Hello everyone,

I am here with Retro Rubber challenge blog and we have a sketch challenge for you.  I don't know about you I love sketch challenges!  This one is such a cool one to play with.  Here is the picture to help you join in on the fun.

No automatic alt text available.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I am using one of the MFT Pure Innocence stamps called Hello Cupcake.  This stamp was released sometime in 2011, but is now retired so I could not link to the stamp.  However, if you love MFT Innocence stamps like I do, you can get some of the retired stamps as digital stamps on Etsy, here is the link!  And Hello Cupcake is in this store!  My sentiment is from Avery Elle set called "So Happy" which was released June 2014.

Here is how I put my card together:

I colored the image with copics, I added my layers and finished my card off with enamel dots.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. You have until April 7th to join in on the fun! Leave me a comment to tell me how you liked my card, I love to read them.

Hello everyone,

It's March and it's time for a new Challenge over at Retro Rubber Challenge.  We have a sketch challenge for you this time.

Here is my take on the sketch challenge.  I have chosen to use stitched circles.  I have cut five circles and added them to my card.  I added some splatter on the card to give it some more dimension.  I embossed my sentiment with gold embossing powder.  My sentiment is from Avery Elle "So Happy" stamp set which came out in 2012.

I hope I have inspired you to join the fun. Hop on over to Retro Rubber Challenge Blog and see what the design team has created and link your project. I can't wait to see your take on the sketch. The challenge ends on March 11th!
