I finished the card off by adding some brown enamel dots.

Here is my take on the challenge.  I am using a Mama Elephant stamp set called Thank You Wishes, which was released in January 2016.  My card is an A2 card, the design paper is 4 x 51/2, I then cut two pieces of card stock 4 x 5, I used a MFT die to cut the frame at the bottom and then I layered the two together.  I stamped my sentiment from the Mama Elephant set with Versafine black ink.  To finish my card, I added some sequins.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. You have until June 2nd to join in on the fun!

Here is how I made my cards:

1.  A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,
2.  I cut some card stock larger than the base of the card,
3.  I used some scotch low tack tape and a sheet of writing paper (I saw this done on youtube), and lined up where I wanted to lay my tape, I put the tape on my card stock every second line,

4.  I then used two distress ink colors and inked in between the tape,

5.  I used my Misti to line up the sentiment on the cardstock,
6.  I stamped my piece, and added this to the front base of the card,
7.  I finished off the card by adding some gold sequins trim and twine.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Enjoy the hop with the other design team members and please come back again soon!

Retro Rubber Challenge #38 - Color Challenge

Tuesday, May 10, 2016

Hello everyone,

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a color challenge for you. I hope you will join the fun and play along with us. Here is the color inspiration picture and my take on it.

This stamp set "Vivid Vases" was debuted in the Stampin Up catalog in December of 2013.  I have had this stamp set for a while, this is the first time using it.  I'm so happy to share what I have created!  I love the bright colors of the paper I used.  It is from the Design Series Paper Pattern Stack, the Bright Collection, which is no longer available.

I stamped the vases on the DSP paper and fuzzy cut the vases I wanted to use.  I used my tape runner to adhere them to my card.  Very clean and simple card.

Closer look at my card....

I hope you have been inspired by my card to join the challenge. You have until May 20th to hop on over to Retro Rubber to join the challenge. Remember to use a stamp over a year old and make sure you tell us how old it is. I cannot wait to see your creation!
