My first card, I am using the NEWLY released "
Shadow of the Mighty", which is part of the Color by Faith line of stamps. If you love to bible journal this set would look beautiful on a bible page. I love how this set is perfect for those who love to make cards. The technique I used for the chair is mirror stamping, below is how I mirrored the beach chair. The background I created using distress inks, the sun I used a sunburst stencil using distressed inks.
Closer look at my card.
To create the mirrored beach chairs, I began using a media mat with the Misti. I layed the beach chair on the media mat. To get a clear image I used Onyx Black Versafine ink, I stamped it twice.
I then laid a piece of white cardstock on the media mat, pressed softly to get a clear image.
The image on the right is the mirrored image and I stamped the image again on the left. I then used my scan and cut to cut the beach chairs and the umbrella. I colored them using the
Leisure Arts double ended water-based markers. I like these markers because they have brilliant colors. I have the pack on 60.
Here is how I added the sun to my card base.
This is how I created the sand and water to the card base.
My last card I am using the Everyday Stamp set "
Wish Big". I die cut my top panel with a stitched die cut. Before I took the panel out of the die, I used distress ink to create the background. I then stamped the floral image and colored the flowers and butterfly with my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers. I then added the sentiment and finished the card off by adding some sequins.
Here is a closer look of the card.
