Sunday, June 19, 2022

Hello everyone!

I'm sharing a card I created for my grandchildren to give to their papa.  The stamp set I am using is from Gina K. Designs  called "Grand Gentlemen" and I used the coordinating dies.  This set was illustrated by Beth Silaika

You can see more inspiration from the full release on the Gina K. Designs & StampTV Friends Facebook page.

Here are my cards for your inspiration:

My first card I used the "Grand Gentlemen Stamp Setand dies illustrated by Beth Silaika. This set is a great set for all the special men in your life!  There are lots of sentiments and coordinating sayings for any occasion too.  I just couldn't help myself, I had to make a rainbow card out of the ties!

Here is how I created the card:
  • Card is a slimline card, measuring  6"x 3 1/4" (6"x 6 1/2", scored at 3 1/4" on the 6 1/2" side).
  • Used the Master Layout 7 to cut the layers.
  • Stamped the brick background from the  "Grand Gentlemen" stamp set.
  • Stamped and die cut the bows and colored with alcohol markers.  Added them to the card with foam squares.
  • Added the sentiment from Grand Gentlemen stamp set, die cut the sentiment from Master Layout 9.
  • Assembled the card.

The rules to play along with Retro Rubber Challenge is very simple, make sure the stamp you use on your project is at least one year or older. For more details on the rules, you can find them over on Retro Rubber Challenge blog.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The set I am using is from Stampin Up which is called Perennial Birthday stamp set. The set was released in June 2018.

My card is an A2 card, I embossed the background with an embossing folder in my stash.  I cut the pennants with woodgrain paper and added it to my card.  I stamp the sentiment from the stamp set Perennial Birthday.  I finished off the card by adding some sequins.  This would be a great masculine card.

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps - Happy Birthday

Thursday, May 21, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am here with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps and I have a masculine birthday card for you today. I am using the new 2020 and Birthday 6 rubber stamps and the truck which is called Truck Old Pick Up. This card could be created into a Father's Day card too, just change the sentiment. I thought it would be fun to use the 2020 stamp set in the background since most states are still in quarantine and cannot go out and celebrate.

Here is how I created the card:

1. My card is an A2 landscape card,
2. I stamped the 2020 in the background in black ink,
3. I then cut a black piece of cardstock at 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 and then the top cardstock at 2 1/4 x 3 1/2, I stamped the Truck Old Pick Up and then stamped the Birthday 6. I adhered the two pieces together and added some foam tape and adhered it to the base of the card.

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps - Happy Father's Day

Tuesday, May 12, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am here with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps and I have a Father's Day card to share with you today. I am using the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps tool collection, which are many stamps, Tool Box, Wrench, Bolt & Nut set,  Hammer, Bent nail & Nail, Saw, Mr. Fix It, and the sentiment Happy Father's Day

Here is my card for your inspiration:

Here is how I created the card:

1. My card is an A2 easel size card,
2. I stamped the images cut them out with my scan and cut and colored them with copics, I stamped the words
Mr. Fix It onto the saw
3. I sat the images aside,  and created the easel card.  To make the easel card, I took a piece of card stock 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 and 8 1/4, I then took another piece of card stock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhered it to the base of the scored card.
4. I then cut some masculine design paper at 4 x 5 1/4 from my stash and adhered it to the front of the card, and cut another piece at 4 x 2 7/8 and adhered it to the bottom of the easel card.
5.  I then cut a slit in the tool box to add the tools into the box and added the other tools.
6.  I stamped and cut the sentiment and added a layer to the sentiment and adhered it to the card so that it could be a stopper to hold the card upright.
7.  I finished the card off by adding some of the screws around the sentiment.

Here is an angle of the easel card.

Here is an angel showing the sentiment.

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #87 - Sketch

Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a sketch.  I know I have said this before, I love sketches....our one and only design team member Claire always has the neatest sketches.

If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post.  Here is the sketch for you to use.  I cannot wait to see you take on it.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I used a stamp set from Stampin Up called "Mixed drink".  The set was released in June 2016 and I believe it is still available.

My card is an A2 card, I used the Stampin Up (retired) DSP True Gentlemen, I stamped the image from the set colored it with copics and added some wink of stella, to give the beer a shimmery look.  The sentiment is from the Stampin Up stamp set called "Teeny Tiny Wishes" which was released back in 2009.  This is a favorite set of mine!

Are you ready to play along? Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations! Thank you for stopping by, you have until June 1st to join the fun!
