Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps - Hero

Hello everyone,

Happy June, can you believe it's not Summer yet and we are already having 80 degree weather?  We still have about three more weeks before Summer to really kicks in.  Time sure is flying when your having fun (lol).  I am here with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps sharing a card with the newly released American Flag Waving rubber stamp and the sentiment Hero.  I thought this was the perfect stamp to show this week since Flag Weeks starts June 14th and July 4th is next month.

My card is an A2 top folding card.  I had the paper I used on my card in my stash, I cut the paper 4 1/4 x 5 /2 and cut it diagonally and added it to the base of my card.  I stamped the American Flag Waving, colored it with copics and then stamped the sentiment Hero.  I die cut the image and sentiment with a stitched die in my stash and then added foam tape to the back and added it to my card.  I added some clear stars that where also in my stash.

Joy Clair - Celebrate!

Hello everyone!


I hope you all have had a nice weekend and have had some time off to celebrate with your family Independence Day, if you live in the USA!  I am enjoying my long weekend with my family.  I hope to see the fireworks somewhere tomorrow, how about you?

I am here with Joy Clair, I am featuring one of the most recent new background stamp Grungy Flag.  If you have not seen all the beautiful designs the team has created, please stop by the Joy Clair blog to see them.  The sentiment is from the Joy Clair stamp Let's Celebrate.  This is a perfect stamp you can use for any occasion.  There is a girl image on this set and you can easily have her holding a flag for Independence Day!

Here is my card for your inspiration:

My card is an A2 card, I used my Misti to stamp the background image from the Grungy Flag background stamp.  I inked the flag up with red and blue at the same time and stamp it on my paper.  I think I stamped it about 3 times before I got the look I wanted (thank goodness for my Misti).  I added my sentiment at an angle.  If you can see I have a tool called a paper distresser made by Tim Holtz (tonic) and I distressed my edges so it would look grungy like the flag.  I adhered all my layers together and finished the card off by adding the star embellishments.
