Newton's Nook Designs - A Purr-fectly Spooky Halloween Card

Hello everyone!

It’s Donna Idlet here sharing this cute Halloween card.  I had so much fun creating it using the adorable kitty from the NEW Cat Builder Die Set dressing him up for Halloween! I love how all the little details came together to create this fun and festive spooky scene.

I used the Cat Builder Die Set to create the cat.  I added a witch hat from the Halloween Postage Sampler.  I added the sparkly pink collar and tag using the Cheerful Bright Glitter Cardstock.  

To give the kitty even morepersonality, I added a piece of candy corn from the Candy Corn Newton Stamp Set, he cannot wait to eat it!

For the background, I the patterned paper is from the Halloween Time Paper Pad. The bright green paper covered in black bats makes the perfect frame for the darker Halloween scene.

I created the spooky sky using the NND Clouds Stencil. Then I added the moon and stars from the Spooky Sky Die Set. The black fence was created using the NND Fence Die, which helped ground the scene and gives the kitty a fun place to sit.

To finish the scene, I added pumpkins from the Fall Friends Die Set and some flying bats from the Halloween Postage Sampler. The “Happy Halloween” sentiment also comes from the Halloween Postage Sampler.

One of my favorite parts of this card is all the dimension! I used foam tape to pop up the cat, giving it a fun 3D effect and making it really stand out from the background. I took the second photo from an angle so you can see just how much dimension the card has.

I love how this little Halloween kitty turned out. Between the bright batty background, spooky moonlit sky, pumpkins, bats, and that adorable witchy cat, this card is full of Halloween fun!

Newton's Nook Designs - Falloween Release Day 2

My first card is an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). I am using the Autumn Postage Sampler. I stamped, colored and die cut the images. I used the Postage Stamp Layout Die for the layout of the card. The design papers I used is from the Autumn Paper Pad.

My second card is also an A2 size card. I am using the Halloween Postage Sampler Stamp Set. I stamped, colored and die cut the images. The layout of the card I used the Postage Stamp Layout Die. The papers I used is from the Halloween Time Paper Pad.

Newton's Nook Designs - Ghostly Greetings

Hello everyone!

I am here with Newton's Nook Designs featuring the Ghostly Good Times Stamp Set. I stamped and embossed the images onto vellum to give them a transparency look. I then die cut the ghost with the coordinating Ghostly Good Times Die Set.

Here is my card for your inspiration:

Behind the ghosts I used a page from the Halloween Time Paper Pad. I die cut it using the zig zag frame from the Frames & Tags Die Set. I finished my card by using the "Ghostly Greetings" from the Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates and die cut it using the Banner Duo Die Set.

Newton's Nook Designs - Happy Halloween!

Hello everyone!

I am here with Newton's Nook Designs featuring the Happy Howl-oween Stamp Set. I am also using the newly released Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates, Spiderweb Hot Foil Plates, Halloween Time Paper Pad.

Here is my card for your inspiration:

My card is an A2 size card. I stamped the image from the Howl-oween Stamp Set and colored it with alcohol markers. I then die cut the black layer using the Frames and Flags Die Set. I hot foiled the spiderweb from the Spiderweb Hot Foil Plates onto the black layer. I also foiled the spiders from the Spiderweb Hot Foil Plates. I foiled the sentiment using the Spooky Sentiments Hot Foil Plates and die cut it with the Banner Duo Die Set. I added the spider paper from the Halloween Time Paper Pad and then assembled the card.

 

Here is a closer look at the card.  For finishing touches, I added some rhinestones on the back of the spiders.
