Newton’s Nook Designs – January Reveal Day 1

Monday, January 17, 2022

Hello everyone!

This is my first post as a Design Team Member with Newton's Nook Designs!!! I am excited about the opportunity to share with you all the wonderful products Newton's Nook has to offer!

Today is Day 1 of the January 2022 Newton's Nook product reveal. The design team is featuring Knead Kittens with the coordinating Dies, Petite Hearts Stencil, A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and Love & Meows Paper Pad.

Here is my card I created today for your inspiration:

Valentine card by Donna Idlet - Knead Kittens with the coordinating Dies, Petite Hearts Stencil, A7 Frames & Banners Die Set and Love & Meows Paper Pad #newtonsnook #cardmaking

Here is how I created it:

  • Cut & Score White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/5″ (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″).
  • Die cut the top layer from Newton's Nook Framework Die
  • Ink blended the inside of the frame and stamped the bread for the background
  • Stamped the Kitty image from the Knead Kittens stamp set and die cut from the coordinating Die. Colored the image with copics (E31, 33, 35, RV10).
  • Cut a piece of paper from the Love & Meows Paper Pad.
  • Stamped the sentiment and die cut it using the sentiment strip from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set.
  • Assembled the card and finished it off by stamping hearts from the Knead Kittens stamp set, colored with copics and added glossy accent to give the hearts some shine.

I love the Love & Meows 6x6 Paper Pad, there are lots of heart patterns that is perfect for Valentines day or could be used all through the year.
