It's a2z Scrapbooking's February challenge which is Masking. What is masking ? Masking is a basic stamping technique where you cover a stamped image so that other images could be placed over it. The images stamped over the mask will be behind the covered up image. My card is not exactly masking, it is layering. Hero Arts has a series of layering stamps and I love them. I am using the Color Layering Butterflies. I have used the ombre inks to stamp the butterfly. I used the Lilac to Grape Purple for the first layer. Then I stamped the second layer with the Grape color and the top layer with Pool to Navy. I stamped the sentiment below the butterfly. I cut the image out into a pendant shape. My card is an A2 card, I used the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Print Cling. I inked the stamp with VersaMark and layed my card on the stamp pressing firmly to get a nice clean image.
