a2z Scrapbooking October Challenge

Thursday, October 1, 2015

Hello all,

I am here today with a2z Scrapbooking Blog with new challenge for the month. The challenge his month is Fall. I hope you all will join in on the fun. Come on over to a2z Scrapbooking Blog and see what all the talented designers have created.

Wow, can you believe Fall is already here? Christmas is less than 86 days away and if you want to be exact it is 7,404,444 seconds!. The seconds seem like we have mor time! Are you all ready? I am here sharing with you a Fall card for Thanksgiving. I did a cool technique with the Ken Oliver Color Burst Colors.

Here is the watercolor technique I used:

1. Wet your watercolor paper as much as you desire. I satuated mine using the Hero Arts Water Bottle Mister, because I wanted the whole sheet to be colorful.

2. I sprinkled the Orange and Alizarin Crimson colors together and the magic began. I had to add some more water and the color burst to get the whole sheet covered.

3. I patted the water paper dry after I got the color I wanted - some people use the heat embossing tool to help it dry. I did not because I was not in a hurry.

4. After the sheet was dried. I had to ink the sheet with Tim Holtz ink because the sheet was brighter than I wanted. I wanted a fall like color and not so red.

To finish off my card, I used the Hero Arts pigment white ink with the Hero Arts background stamp Branches and stamped it on my watercolor paper. Before the ink could dry I added the Hero Arts clear embossing powder and dried it with my heat embossing tool.
