Newton's Nook Designs - Happy Cinco de Meow!

Happy Cinco de Meow everyone!

I am here with Newton's Nook Designs sharing a cute card celebrating Cinco de Mayo Day!  Who is having taco's and margaritas tonight?  I am making taco's tonight, but I will pass on the margaritas (I know Newton is in a martini glass).  

Here is how I created my card:

• Card is an A2 card which measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
• Cut the scalloped layer with NND Frames & Flag Die Set.  Ink blended the background with rainbow colors and stamped the confetti in the background and splattered some ink. 
• Stamped the image from NND Newton Celebrates and the taco from the Newton Loves Tacos stamp sets and colored it with alcohol ink markers. 
• Stamped and embossed the sentiment from the Newton Loves Tacos stamp set with white embossing powder, the "happy" is from the Cycling Friends stamp set, which I masked off "Birthday", die cut the sentiment using the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set.
• Die cut the vellum in the background from the Oval Frames Die Set.
• Assembled the card.

Newton's Nooks Design - APRIL 2022 RELEASE - REVEAL DAY 3

Hello everyone!

I am here with Newton's Nook Designs and today is Reveal Day 3 of the NEWLY released products that will be available on Friday, April 22nd. The design team is featuring "Dad's BBQ" Stamp Set and coordinating dies. For more inspiration please visit Newton's Nook Design Blog to see what the design team has created.

Here is how I created it:

• A2 card measuring 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2.
• The background layer measures 3 3/4" x 5", the top layer measures 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
• Created the clouds on the top layer by die cutting the Sky Borders Die Set and using them as a stencil.
• Die cut the top grass layer of the card using the Land Border Die Set.
• Stenciled the trees from the Tree Line Stencil and adhered the grass layer to the card.
• Stamped the images from the "Dad's BBQ" Stamp Set, colored with alcohol markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies.
• Cut the "checkered" picnic blanket from the Love & Meows 6x6 Paper Pad. 
• Stamped the sentiment from the  "Dad's BBQ" Stamp Set onto a tag from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set using black ink.
• Assembled the card.

Newton's Nooks Designs - Retirement Products

Hello everyone!

I hope you have enjoyed all the retiring products featured this week on the Newton's Nook Design blog.  Today is the last day the design team will be sharing inspiration using some of their favorite products from our retiring list! Today I’m showcasing two stamps sets Fabulous Frenchies  and Toucan Party Stamp Sets.  I love these sets and hate to see them go.  You can go here to see the full list.

For my first card, I used the Fabulous Frenchies  Stamp Set, I stamped, die cut and colored the images with alcohol markers.  I used the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set for the frame and the background paper came from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad.  I used the Speech Bubbles Die Set to stamp the sentiment from the Fabulous Frenchies.  

I assembled the card and finished it off by adding some details on the eyes and party hats with white gelly roll pen  and added some clear wink of stella onto the balloon.

For my second card I am using the Toucan Party Stamp Set.  I created a slimline card using the Slimline Frames & Portholes Die Set.  I stamped, die cut and colored the images with alcohol inks.  I dry embossed the blue layer with the Waves Stencil and the green layer I stamped the palm leaves for the background.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and then added the toucans to the card.

I assembled the card and finished it off by adding some details on the toucans with white gelly roll pen.

Newton's Nook Designs - January Reveal Day 3

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to Day 3 of the January 2022 Newton's Nook product reveal. The design team is featuring the Heartfelt Meows and Heartfelt Woofs stamp sets.  I'm in love with these heart shape dogs and cats heart stamp sets.  These heart stamps work well with Newton's Nook Heart Frames Dies and Banner Trio Dies, which you can find here.

Here are my cards for your inspiration:

Here is how I created it:

• Cut & Score black A2 Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/5″ (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″).
• Cut the pattern paper from the Love & Meows Paper Pad and layered with gray cardstock.
• Stamped the image from the Newton's Nook Heartfelt Meows and colored with copics.
• Die cut the Heartfelt Meow Image using the Heart Frames Die Set.
• Stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Meows stamp set, and die cut with the banner from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set.
• Assembled the card.

Here is how I created it:

• Cut & Score black A2 Card Base: 4 1/4″ x 5 1/5″ (4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″).
• Die cut the black layer from the Newton's Nook Frames and Flag Die.
• Cut a piece of white card stock and dry embossed with the Petite Hearts Stencil.
• Stamped and embossed the image from the Newton's Nook Heartfelt Woof stamp set. 
• Ink blended with distress inks.
• Stamped the sentiment from the Heartfelt Woof stamp set, and die cut with the banner from the A7 Frames & Banners Die Set.
• Assembled the card.
