Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #141 - Anything Goes

Tuesday, August 11, 2020

Hello everyone!

I am here again with another Challenge with Retro Rubber Challenge Blog and it's another one of my favorites, "Anything Goes".  I hope you will join in on the fun. Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations!

The rules to play along with Retro Rubber Challenge is very simple, make sure the stamp you use on your project is at least one year or older. For more details on the rules, you can find them over on Retro Rubber Challenge blog.

Here is my card for your inspiration. The set I am using is from Stampin Up called Animal Outing stamp set that was released in June 2018.

My card is an A2 card, I cut a piece of cardstock at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and added it to the base of the card.  I then cut some design paper and embossed it from an embossing folder in my stash.  I adhered it to my card.  I cut a piece of card stock 3 x 4 and a piece of white card stock at 2 1/2 x 4 and stamped and adhered them together.  I then stamped the image on a piece of card stock, colored it and added to my card.  I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created.

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another coffee card featuring the Joy Clair Designs stamp set called Feeling Slothy. I'm loving creating slimline cards, they make your project look really cool. If you want to see more inspiration, hop over to Joy Clair Designs blog to see all the coffee related stamps they have in the store.  Also the Joy Clair store is having a sitewide sale on all items in the store (a full list of coffee related stamps are listed at the bottom of this post) ....don't forget to use MEMORIALDAY at checkout.

I am playing along with the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Joy Clair is a Super Sponsor again this year. There are lots of sponsors and prizes if you would like to play along.

1.  The card I created with a slimline die from Trinity Stamps, I die cut the front panel and used a stencil to create the grass and clouds,

2.  I then stamped the images from the Joy Clair Feeling Slothy stamp set.

3.  The second sloth on my project I used the technique mirror stamping. I used the Waffle Flower Water Media Mat, I put the mat in my Misti, stamped the image onto the mat with versafine onyx ink, put my paper on top, rubbed it really well to get a clear image (love this technique),

4.  I heat embossed all the images with clear embossing powder because I colored them with copics (versafine ink is not alcohol friendly). I cut the images with a scan and cut, and adhered them to the card.  The bottom sloth I added foam dots to pop him up.

I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Joy Clair - Reckless Love

Sunday, March 24, 2019

Hello everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying the first few days of Spring. In my area it has been raining and snowing, but I can see my flowers are starting to bub. I am here with Joy Clair stamps featuring the newly released stamp set from the Color by Faith line "Reckless Love". Be sure to stop on to see all the wonderful designs the design team has created with these sets.

My card today is an A2 size card. I die cut the top layer with a stitched rectangle, I then embossed this piece and adhered it to my card base. I stamped the sentiment from the "Reckless Love" stamp set and die cut it with an oval stitched die cut, I then used some distress ink on the top oval piece, I then stamped the leaves around the oval, and colored it with copics, I stamped and fuzzy cut the flowers from the "Reckless Love" stamp set and colored them with copics. I used foam tape and added the flowers to oval die cut piece, I then die cut an oval piece with black card stock and adhered it to the sentiment oval piece. I then used foam tape to adhere it to my card.

Here is another view of the card.

Here is a side view to show you how I pop the flowers on my card with foam tape.
