Happy New Years!

Welcome back to Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog Hop!  You should be coming here from Babara Rankins blog.  After visiting me, hop over to Marisa Job next! To start at the beginning of the hop, and for the full list of Bloggers, go to Gloria's Blog!  The full list will also be at the bottom of this post.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and a Happy New Year.  It's been a long three months, if you don't remember Craft Hoarders will hop every quarter, check for the hop again in April, July, and October. All of the participating designers are offering prizes, so make sure you check each blog!

The theme is "Winter, New Year’s, Calendar ideas, Valentine’s Day, Love/Anniversary".  I have a calendar idea, which is a nice gift idea for anyone, or you can just have it sitting on your desk. This is not just a calendar, it is a post it note holder and a pen.  How many times do you go to find a piece of paper and pen and can never find one?

Here is my Calendar/Post It note holder:

Side view of the calendar.

Here is how I put it the calendar/Post It Note holder together:

The base is a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of  Stampin Up Night of Navy card stock cut in half. It's hard to see in the picture, I scored 1/2, 4 1/2, 5 1/2 and 6 1/2.

Take a bone folder and score the lines well.

I cut about an 1/8 off at the top and added some score tape on the 1/2 score line and adhered it together.

This is the base of the calendar/post it note holder. The design paper for the front of this measure 4 x 4.

The pocket for the Post-It Note holder measures 3 1/2 x 5 1/2. Score the 5 1/2″ side at 1/2, 1″, 4 1/2″ and 5″.

Score the bottom at 1/2″ and 1″.

Trim off the 3 little outer squares on the bottom and use the inside square for a tab.

Place adhesive on the outer 3 flaps and adhere it to the base. The design paper measure 2 1/4 x 3 1/4.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I love reading your comments, so tell me what you think. Please hop on over to Marisa Job blog to see her beautiful creation.
