I am here with a2z Scrapbooking challenge for April which is water coloring. Oh what fun! I have a Mother's Day card for you. I used the Hero Arts Butterfly pair Stamp and Cut Set. I love this set, it has nine words a flower, two different sized butterflies and a ladybug with two dies. This is a must have.
So on to my card! I am using the Ken Oliver's Color Burst for the first layer of my card. I used an 8 1/2 x 11 water color paper, sprayed it with a small water bottle to get my paper wet. I then started shaking the Ultramarine Blue and Orchid colors on my paper until I got the effect that I wanted. I then dried it with my heat gun and sprinkled some water on the sheet with my brush to get the water splotches. With a small paint brush I added some Ken Oliver's Liquid Metals Platinum to give my paper a little shimmer. I used a circle die to cut a circle in the middle of my layer. I then stamped the sentiment and die cut the butterflies twice with the watercolor paper. I then adhered one of the butterflies flat and then popped the other butterfly up and lifted the wings. I water colored a large sheet of paper so I can use it on other projects. You may see this again, used another way! I finished my card with some Hero Arts Clear Rhinestones.
