Joy Clair - Rose Sentiment

Friday, August 25, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair, I am featuring one of the most recent newly released stamp set called Rose Sentiments.  This is a beautiful set, the sentiments are in a beautiful script.   The sent is so versatile you can make all kinds of card with this set such as  sympathy, get well, congrats and so on.  I have a wedding card that I made today.   The roses are beautiful, I have colored mine with copics, but you can use any media you would like.   If you have not seen all the beautiful designs the team has created, please stop by the Joy Clair blog to see them.

Here is my card for your inspiration:

How I put my card together:

1.  My card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, the white layer measures 5 1/4 x 4,

2.  I embossed the white layer,

3.  I then die cut the Victorian looking die,

4.  I stamped my image with memento black ink (since I was coloring the image with copics),

5.  I then colored my image with copics using R27, 46 and 59, the leaves are YR03, 17, 68.  I then centered the stitched die over my image and die cut it out,

6.  I then took a piece of black cardstock and stamped my sentiment from the Rose Sentiments stamp set with versamark ink,

7.  I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die cut it out and adhered it to my rose image with foam tape,

8.  I finished the card off by adding some clear round drops with wet glue.

Here is a closer look at the image, so many details in the flower.  I am still learning shadows, I hope one day to really be a professional at coloring them.

a2z Scrapbooking - Hero Arts You're So Lovely

Friday, September 9, 2016

Hello everyone,

It's September and a2z Scrapbooking has a new challenge!  The new challenge is "Make It A Tag"!  Doesn't that sound like fun!  I can't remember ever making a tag on a card and this is fun....I hope you will join in on the fun challenge.  You have to use at least one Hero Arts image on your card. Please go to the a2z blog and see what the talented design team has created. You can add your project to the inlinkz  here.

I am using the Hero Arts You're So Lovely stamp set.  The tag is the new Hero Arts Nesting Tag Dies.  I die cut the second tag out of white card stock, then backed it with black card stock.  I stamped two of the large flowers and one small one on my tag using the Hero Arts Raspberry Jam ink.  Oh my, how I love this color!  I then stamped the leaves using Hero Arts Pine and Moss inks.  I stamped the sentiment using Hero Arts black ink.  To finish the tag off I added some black splattered ink and rhinestones.

Here is my take on the tag challenge:

If you like any of the products I used on my card, please stop over at the a2z Scrapbooking Esty store. You can also use the code "Donna15" to receive 15% off of a $25.00 order.

I hope I have inspired you to join the challenge this month! You will have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store! Good luck and please come back again soon!

Love Birds - CottageCutz

Thursday, June 9, 2016

Hello all,

I am here with "The Scrapping Cottage" using the CottageCutz dies! I am using the new release "Tweet" die. This is another one of my clean and simple cards.  It is a 4x4 card, that I used the largest square stitched die to cut the top layer.  I colored these adorable love birds with copics.  I thought this would be a nice card for a wedding so I added the "Best Wishes" sentiment die and stamped the words "love birds" with black memento ink.

If you missed the May release, please stop by the store and check the dies out. Also visit the blog and browse around and see all the beautiful creations made by the design team.

Here is my project....
