I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, it is "Be Thankful" you can use the photo below for inspiration. To join the challenge, simply use a stamp one year old or older, tell us how old it is and follow the theme. It's so much fun to join Retro Rubber's challenges. Don't forget to stop by the blog and see all the other design teams creations.
I am using the retired stamp set by Stampin Up called "Autumn Leaves Seasonally Scattered", which was released around July 2014. My card is an A2 top folding card. There are three stamps in the set and I am using the "thanks" for my card. The technique I am using on my card is called "thumping". I inked my stamp with Stampin Up Hello Honey and then I used the Stampin Up markers and pounced on the stamp randomly with the Stampin Up markers Blackberry Bliss, and Cajun Craze to get the look of my image. I finished off the card by a couple of the leaves from the retired Stampin Up Autumn Wooden Leaves.
I hope you have been inspired by my card and will join the challenge. You have until November 4th to hop on over to Retro Rubber to join the challenge. Remember to use a stamp over a year old and make sure you tell us how old it is. I cannot wait to see your creation! Leave me a comment to tell me how you liked my card, I love to read them. Thanks for stopping by, come back again soon!!
Supplies Used:
Your card is gorgeous with the thumping design. And, I love the embossed leaves background too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use the stamp and thumping the color scheme. The wooden leaves are the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteDonna, OMG stunning card, love the details. I need to try this thumping technique. I love that gorgeous embossed background too. I have this set, I need to dig it out and have a play :) Cx
ReplyDeleteDonna, beautiful stamp, I remember this set, I'm kicking myself for not getting it, just lovely.
ReplyDeleteAwesome detail of the embossed background panel and the wooden leaves.
Hugs,
Maria.
The only element that I don't have is the textured embossing background and it would catch my eye, lol. This was a great stamp set by Stampi' Up! And I still have a stash of the wooden elements! A great combination of details and technique!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! You taught me something today - I hadn't heard of "thumping" with markers before. I still have Seasonally Scattered and love it! That embossing folder is GREAT! I might have to see if that is still available. Wonderful card, Donna!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is striking! From the color of the card base to the embossing folder to the perfect way to use that sentiment! I had those stamps and just couldn't come up with anything good to do with them! Apparently I should have called you! I have never heard of the thumping technique either (unless you count all the years my older brothers liked to thump on me cause I was the kid sister - LOL!) but I need to try it. It really gives a stunning effect on the image.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Stunning! Would love to see this process in action. So, so lovely!❤️
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous card! Love the dry embossing!
