RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE #62 - Spring Flowers

Tuesday, May 9, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge Blog and we have a new challenge.....it's all about Spring and Flowers!  We have had plenty of rain and the flowers and the grass are sure growing.  You know the old saying "April Showers brings May flowers". With all this being said, I hope you can join in with the challenge, it's all about the Spring and Flowers.  Here is the Challenge photo to help you in your creations.

Here is my take on the challenge.  I am using a stamp set that I have had in my stash for a very long time.  The stamp set is called "Spring Tulips" by Sweet n' Sassy stamps, on the back of the stamp set it has the date 2009, so I am going to assume the stamp set was released sometime in 2009.  If you like working with digitals this stamp set is also offered as a digi stamp here.  The sentiment is from the Gina K set called Fabulous Flowers which was released in February of 2017.
.
I loved coloring these tulips, they are so nice and easy to color.  I colored them with copics.  I die cut the image out with CottageCutz double stitched rec tangled die.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. You have until May 19th to join in on the fun!

  1. What an awesome Birthday card, the layers are so pretty! I do like the embossed panel that is the same as the card base.

  3. Donna, I love the colour combo you have used and your Tulip is beautifully coloured and reminded me of the Flower market in Amsterdam, which I love and miss!! I need to emboss more, you always make me want to dig out my embossing folders. Cx

  4. Such a lovely card. I like the way the texture on the base is echoed in the paper you've chosen. The colouring is so gorgeous. The black mat really adds pop. Glorious work, Donna!

  6. Stunning card, Donna! Love how you coordinated the lighter and darker pinkie purples! The stitched die cuts give just the right about of texture without distracting from the other lovely details.
