Newton's Nook Designs - Inky Paws Challenge #10 - Wood, Cork, Metal!

Hello Blogger,

I am joining Newton's Nook Designs challenge, the theme is Wood, Cork or Metal or all three!  I chose to use all three on my card.  This is a fun challenge, I hope all of you hop on over to Newton's Nook and join their challenge.  You will find all the detail on their page.

My card is from the Newton's Nook Designs Sweetheart Tails.  This is a cute stamp set, this set can be used to make Valentine Day cards or just a card for a love one.  I colored the owl with prismacolor pencils, I cut the circle out of real wood thin birch for my wood.  I also stamped the background with a wood background stamp from Hero Arts.  The branch is cut out with cork and I added the Stampin' Up arrow for the metal. Whew, I think I got it all in!

Thanks for stopping by, please come back soon!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog - Challenge #8 Show us Some Metal or Glass

Happy Monday!

I cannot believe we are already on challenge 8 for the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog.  How time flies, you know the old saying, "time flies when your having fun!"  Yes, I am having fun.  This is the first design team I have ever been on and I have meant some extraordinary people.  Everyone is so talented and are wonderful ladies.

This challenge is "show us some metal or glass".  Do you hoard gears, pins, brads, eyelets, frames, and other metal do-dads? Do you have a thing for tiny light bulbs and glass vials? Do junk drawers make you giddy? Do you hang out in office supply stores so you can score funky paperclips? Do bottle caps make you swoon? Dig through your hoard to find something metal or glass (or both) and make a project to share!  This months sponsors are SinCity stamps and Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Here are the details:

Sin City Stamps, owned and operated by Donna Harrison in Las Vegas Nevada, manufactures deep-etched, red-rubber stamps, laser-cut stencils, masks, chipboard pieces, page layouts, die cuts, and chipboard books. Visit the Website and the Blog.

This week we are joining SinCity stamps for a blog hop, please stop by and check out their creations.  Don't forget to leave a comment to let them know how much you love their project. The links are below:

Fabulous Piece of Art

Hello Bloggers,

I am back with a card that I made from my new stamp set from Stampin' Up.  I recieved this stamp set when I went to the premier of the new catalog.  It was so much fun to see all the new products Stampin' up is coming out with in June.  I need to get my order in soon so I can create some more cards.  This set is called "Work of Art".  I am loving these stamp sets these days that are like a brush stroke or grungy looking like I did yesterday.

If you have time Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge, has a challenge going on, it is Ribbon, Lace and Twine.  Hop on over and create something and join the fun.  This challenge is sponsored by  SinCity Stamps and Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Happy Birthday

Happy Hump Day Everyone,

I hope your week is going well.  My birthday and my husband's birthday was yesterday and my children were really good to us this year.  They sent us away for the weekend to Williamsburg, VA.  It was a very nice getaway, the weather was beautiful and Williamsburg was just as pretty as I remembered it.  And let me not forget the shopping!  My daughter made us dinner last night, hmmmmm, it was really good.  She made seafood and grits, did I say it was good!  I thank God for both my children and my Grandchildren.  They are truly the love of my life.

I needed a quick male birthday card.  This card was really fast to make, you probably can make it in less than 20 minutes.
