Retro Rubber Challenge Blog - Sketch

Happy Independence Day everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a Sketch.  You can use your imagination and create whatever you would like.  I love sketch challenges.  Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations!

The rules to play along with Retro Rubber Challenge is very simple, make sure the stamp you use on your project is at least one year or older. For more details on the rules, you can find them over on Retro Rubber Challenge blog.

Here is my card for your inspiration. I've created a card using red, white and blue (patriotic colors) since today is Independence Day. I used the sketch to create my card.  I am using Photoplay "Land of the Free" paper to create the layers. The gnome is from Jaded Blossom, I used several products to create this gnome. For the base of the gnome, I used Gomes Dies, to dress the gnome I used the Gnome dies Patriotic Add Ons. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom God Bless America Stamp Set, I used the coordinating God Bless America Outline dies to cut the sentiment. For finishing touches I added some star embellishments to the hat and at the bottom of the card.  All of these products were release in May 2022.

Are you ready to play along? Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get some more inspiration! Thank you for stopping by, you have until July 14th to join the fun!

Thank you for stopping by, please come back again soon.

  1. Lol, so fun, Donna, I've never seen a patriotic gnome, and I'm so glad I have now! Love that hat, and your papers are wonderful!

  2. Fabulous design! Did you make his shoes in navy blue? If you did, great idea - I've never done that before (creating the shoes to match the hat, ie; blue, green, teal, red...etc.) but I love it! Really like the use of vellum on top of that patterned paper to tone it down before putting the gnome on top. Really softened up the look without taking any thing away from the design.
