RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE BLOG #122 - Sketch

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is a sketch by our very own team member Claire Grantham.  I love the sketch, I probably will be using this one again.  I hope you enjoy creating something with this sketch.  If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. I cannot wait to see you take on it.

Here is my take on the challenge. The stamp set I am using is created by Pickett Fence Studios called "I am a Mermaid" it was released in March 2018.  The sentiment is from Pickett Fence Studios "Little Coral Girl" which was released in February 2018.

My card is an A2 card, I used an embossing folder for my background, I stamped and colored the image with copics.  I love how this one turned out.

Are you ready to play along? Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get some more inspiration! Thank you for stopping by, you have until November 1st to join the fun!

  1. What a sweet Mermaid and your coloring job is fantastic! Love how the green embossed paper echos the mermaid's tail.

  2. That's a sweet card, Donna. I think the embossed background really makes it, both because it adds texture and because it reminds me of fish scales.

  3. You chose the perfect embossing folder for your card, I agree, it looks like fish scales and it looks beautiful as a background for your sweet Little Mermaid, so beautifully colored.
