Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #94 - Anything Goes

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge blog and we have a new challenge, which is "Anything Goes"!  I love challenges with anything goes, because you can create anything you would like!

If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post. Here is the sketch for you to use. I cannot wait to see you take on it.

The stamp that I used on my card is an Impression Obsession stamp set called Hello Summer that was released approximately March 2016.

Image may contain: text

My card is an A2 card, I cut the design paper at 4 x 5 1/4 and cut it at a diagonal.  I then cut the card stock 4 1/8 x 5 1/2 to layer the card.  I adhered it to my card base.  I then die cut the word "wishes" from Impression Obsession and adhered it to my card.  I stamped the word and finished the card off by adding coordinating colors of foam dots to the card.

Are you ready to play along? Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get some more inspiration! Thank you for stopping by, you have until September 7th to join the fun!

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps - Happy Halloween

Hello everyone!

I am here with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps, can you believe it is almost the end of August?  Where did the summer go?  I hope you all have had a great summer!

Today I am using the stamp Bats in a Belfry and Bats Flying By.  My card is an A2 size card and pretty clean and simple.  I cut the orange panel to 4 x 5 1/4, then embossed it with a bat embossing folder.  I adhered it to my card.  I then added the black spider doily to the card, that I had in my stash.   I stamped the sentiment and the bats then die cut it out with a circle.  I cut another circle and layered the sentiment panel on top and adhered it to my card.  I finished my card off by adding some rhinestones on the doily and the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you.  You can follow me on Instagram, TwitterPinterestFacebook and my blog. You can also find me over at Splitcoast Stampers.  Please come back again soon!

Joy Clair - Your Sweet

Hello everyone!

I am back again with Joy Clair, we are collaborating all month with Rinea.  Rinea is a company that has foiled paper and other tools that can be used in any projects you may have.  Please check out their website for more info.  The design team is showcasing the newly released stamps from Joy Clair.  If you have not had a chance to see them all, check them out here.  Today I am showcasing a few of the stamps which are,  Joy Clair Donut Background, Joy Clair Sprinkle with Love and Joy Clair You Got This.  You Got This is part of the bible journaling line.  I love the donut background stamp, when I saw it I immediately thought of coffee....what's a donut if you don' have a cup of coffee.

Here are a couple of coffee gift cards I created using the foiled paper and Joy Clair stamps.

Here is how I put them together:

Here are a couple of pictures of how I created the background on the Rinea Earth Tones Variety Pack foiled paper.  I die cut the coffee cup with the foiled paper, inked the Joy Clair Donut Background stamp with the Rinea Ghost Ink.

It's almost like magic, the ghost ink transfers onto the foiled paper and leaves the impression of the stamp.  There are so many possibilities with using this ghost ink, it is a must have!

After I completed the background on this cup, I adhered it with wet glue to a card base that I die cut with cardstock.  I die cut the sleeve that holds the card closed with cardstock, I stamped the sentiment with versamark and heat embossed it with brown embossing powder.

My second card, I die cut the base with the Rinea Earth Tones Variety Pack foiled paper, I adhered it with wet glue to the card base I die cut with cardstock, I die cut the sleeve with the Rinea Earth Tones Variety Pack foiled paper and die cut a circle, stamped it with brown ink, and adhered it to a larger circle that I die cut with the Rinea Earth Tone foiled paper, I adhered it with wet glue on the foiled sleeve and put it on the coffee mug card to keep it closed.  You can write a note in this or use glue dots to add a gift card and a note inside.

 Here is my card:

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps have come out with a wonderful line of Harry Potter inspired stamps along with a lot other wonderful stamps. My card is using a few of the Harry Potter inspired stamps, which are the Glasses & Lightening Bolt stamp set, Wizarding Hat and the sentiment is called Favorite Muggle.  The links to these sets and other supplies are listed below.
.

Closer look at my card:

Here is how I put my card together:

1.  I started with an A2 size card,
2.  I positioned the stamps in my Misti that I wanted to use,

3.  I turned my paper around and stamped the images again.  If I have room on my paper I like to stamp the images a couple of times and then I will have them for another card later.

4.  I then took another piece of card stock and positioned my image on the paper, I stamped it,

5.  I then positioned two of the stamps from the Glasses & Lightening Bolt stamp set onto the Misti and stamped them,

6.  I then used a stencil to add some interest onto the card using the Memento ink and a clarity brush,

7.  I finished off my card by adding the sentiment called Favorite Muggle.  I then die cut the layer with a stitched die, back this with a piece of black card stock and then adhered it to my card base.

There you go....using the Misti is so perfect to get your stamps positioned where you want them and get a crisp and clean stamped image! I know I have said it over and over again.....I don't know how I stamped before without it. This is definitely the number one tool I go to for all my stamping needs!  What is yours?

Below are the products I used to create my card. Click on the link to go directly to the product. Where available I have used compensated affiliate links which means if you make a purchase I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you so much for your support!
