Here is my take on the challenge:

My card is a note-card measuring 4 1/4 x 4 1/4, I embossed the card base, I die cut the frames that the dragonfly is on and added the sentiment.  I die cut the dragonfly with cardstock, then die cut the dragonfly again with vellum, I colored it with stampin up markers.  I adhered the two pieces together and added it to my card, I finished the card off by adding some rhinestones.

Are you ready to play along? Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations! Thank you for stopping by, you have until April 6th to join the fun!

Joy Clair with Misti - Color By Faith

MISTI AND JC

Hello everyone!

Today I am back with My Sweet Petunia and Joy Clair's design teams sharing projects featuring the MISTI as well as many of the fantastic products from Joy Clair! Please be sure to stop over to Joy Clair's Blog to see all the wonderful projects the team has created using the MISTI.

I have two projects to share today, using the Joy Clair stamp set from the Color by Faith collection called "Praise the Lord" and "Refuel My Soul".

For my first card, I am using the original MISTI which is 8x10. For more information on this MISTI, you can go to the Misti store. I am using the My Sweet Petunia Creative Corners for this project.  I created a background with the words for the Joy Clair Praise the Lord stamp set.  See below for the steps I used to do this with my Misti.

I cut the piece with the hands and placed it at the bottom of the page.  To finish off the card, I added some color sequins.

I started out with the My Sweet Petunia Creative Corner in the corner of my Misti, I began stamping with several colors of ink.

I moved the Creative Corner up the page as I randomly stamped the words.

I then added the creative corner with the magnets at the top of the Misti so my paper would not shift.  I then randomly stamped the words on the other half of the paper until the page was full.  I love the colorful words on the page.

I then stamped the hands from the Praise the Lord stamp set with Versafine ink using the Misti Bar Magnet, because the image is solid, I wanted to make sure the paper did not move, so I used the extra magnets that came with the Misti.

My next card is using the Joy Clair Refuel My Soul stamp set, this is a CAS card. I am using the Mini Misti for this project.  I cut the piece with the hands and placed it at the bottom of the page.  To finish off the card, I added some color sequins.

I wasn't sure what how I was going to layout my card, so I stamped a few images using Memento ink.

I stamped my background with the stamp from the Refuel My Soul stamp set, I then placed my image where I wanted it to go and stamped the sentiment.  I colored the fuel tank image with copics and popped it on my card.

Please follow Joy Clair's facebook page, Color by Faith Bible Journaling facebook page, Instagram and Twitter, be the first to hear the news, sales and giveaways! They also have a Pinterest page and Youtube channel for your inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by, please leave me a comment if you like my card, I love reading them. If you are not a follower, please follow my blog to stay up to date on what's going on.

CASology - Week 292: FOIL

Hello everyone,

I am popping in on this snowy day to play along with CASology (clean and simple) Challenge which is Foil this week.  Thanks Claire for letting me know about the challenge.  I am a fan of foiling, Gina K. Designs has a huge line of beautiful foils and Foil-Mates™.   If you have not played with them, you are missing out!

Here is my card for the challenge:

My card is an A2 card, I used a retired embossing folder from Stampin Up and embossed the panel.  I then die cut the oval frame and popped it up on the card.  The foil is from the Gina K. Designs StampnFoil™ Foil-Mates Detail Sheet "Time to Celebrate".  I die cut the birthday cake with the StampnFoil™ Foil-Mates Craft Dies. I then used the Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils™ Dazzling Orange to foil the cake and the happy birthday sentiment.

Here is a closer look so you can see the foiling!
