To see who won, check the Big News Forum at StampTV a few days after the hop. Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:

These sets illustrated by Beth and Claire were so much fun to play with.  My first card is an A2 card, I cut a piece of GKD White Layering cardstock, and sprayed it with Firework sprays to created the background.  I then die cut the wavy panel and adhered it to my card.  I stamped the turtles with Memento Black ink and fuzzy cut the turtles from the Todd Turtle illustrated by Beth.  I colored them with copics and added some glossy accents to the shell of the turtle.  I stamped the sentiment with versamark and added GKD Fine Detail White embossing powder and heat set it.  I added foam tape and added it to my card.  I added foam tape to the turtles and popped them on the card.  I finished off my card by adding some dew drops.

Here is a closer look.....

My next card is also from the Todd Turtle Stamp Set.  The card is an A2 card, I die cut a white panel with GKD Pure Luxury White Layering card stock and water colored some GKD Ocean Mist ink for my background.  I stamped the starfish, fuzzy cut them out, and colored them with copics.   I added some glossy accent to the spots on the starfish for more dimension.  I stamped the sentiment with versamark and added GKD Fine Detail White embossing powder and heat set it.  I added this to my card.  I finished the card off by adding some clear enamel dots.

My next card is Perfect Poinsettia illustrated by Claire Brennan.  This is an amazing set, there are so many possibilities!  This card is an A2 card too, I cut the white panel out with a Spellbinder die to get the fancy bottom.  I used GKD Pure Luxury heavy white card stock and stamped the poinsettia image twice with gold embossing powder.  I used GKD Red Velvet and a water brush to color the two poinsettia's. I fuzzy cut both of the flowers, one of the flowers I cut the small petals out and used foam tape to pop them on the top flower.  I then added foam tape to the bottom flower and added it to the top flower.  I also stamped the leaves with GKD Gold embossing powder and water colored them with GKD Fresh Asparagus Ink.  I added the three leaves to the flower with adhesive.  I used foam tape to add the flower to the card.  I finished the flower off by adding some pearls.  I finished the card off by adding the sentiment with GKD Onyx Black Ink and added some pearls.

Closer look at the card......

My last card is a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square card.  I am using the incentive stamp set called "Nurturing Blooms", this is a nice set if you want to stamp a quick card.  I used the GKD Small & Large Square Foil-Mates Die Sets to create the layers.  I used GKD Fresh Asparagus ink to stamp the images (I stamped off, so I would get a light color).  I added the sentiment and finished my card off by adding some sequins.  This set is free with an order of $75.00 or more.

If you missed the release party last week here are the cards I showed.

  2. You elegant tale on stamping inspires me to do what I like not always use the most items you can. On the black and white Nurturing Blooms card what did use for the back dry embossing?
