Retro Rubber Challenge #70

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber and we have a new challenge for you which is an inspirational photo, "back to school".  I hope you all will join Retro Rubber team with this challenge.  I know I had a great time creating my card.

Wow, can you believe it's already time for the children to go back to school!  I know you parents are excited, and some of your children my be too.  I also know, some of you have already sent your children back to school..  I hope you all have had a wonderful summer vacation, I know my family has.

The rules to play along with Retro Rubber are very simple, make sure the stamp you use on your project is at least one year or older.   For more details on the rules, you can find them over on Retro Rubber Challenge blog.  Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations!

Here is my take on the challenge:

Here is how I put my card together:

I am using the Lawn Fawn set called "A Good Apple" which was released the Summer of 2013.  I started out with an A2 card, I embossed the background paper with Stampin Up retired Alphabet Press embossing folder.  I stamped the chalkboard and the other elements from the Lawn Fawn set.  I measured the inside of the chalkboard and cut a piece of black Stampin Up chalkboard paper.  I then took my finger and smeared some white Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment ink on it.  I then stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink and added some white embossing powder and heat set it.  I colored the elements on the board with copics.  I finished the card off by adding some twine.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. You have until September the 8th to join in on the fun!

  1. I think this card is wonderful. I like the layering of elements and the black, white, red colour scheme. I like the sentiment and twine finishing touch. In fact, there's nothing not to like! Great work, team-mate!

I went to check this awesome stamp set but it's sold out, (Bwaaa!!) I will never understand why stamp companies retired products that are this fabulous.
    Awesome card, teammate.
