Joy Clair - Quick Quotes Promotion!

Hello everyone!

I  am so excited about this post! Joy Clair and Quick Quotes have joined together for a promotion and a giveaway! It's Day three of the promotion, if you have not stopped by Day 1 and 2, please check out the wonderful projects from the design team.  Joy Clair and Quick Quotes will be giving away a $25 gift certificate!

Now onto my project, I decided to change it up a little and I have created a portfolio with the Quick Quotes products and Joy Clair stamps. The portfolio measures 8 1/4 x 5 1/4. I started out with using the design paper from Quick Quotes to cover the front and back panels with the design paper which is from the Anchors Await Collection.

I created the frame with some blue card stock. I die cut the center and added some chipboard to the blue panel and inked the edges with Quotes Powder Puff ink and then added the family quote from the Quick Quotes Family & Special Moments Vellum Strips. I used my 5" Xyron to put adhesive on the back of the vellum. I used foam tape to pop the panel up into the frame. I then had some "nautical" items in my stash and I added the rope and shells to the front. I stamped and colored the mermaid from the Joy Clair Stamp Set called "Seas the Day". I added some mini rhinestones to look like bubbles coming from the mermaid.

These are the first two pages, I cut some Quick Quotes design paper and covered the pages which measures 7 1/2 x 4 1/2.  The pocket measures 3 1/2 x 4 1/2, the card measures 5 x 4.  The quote on the front of the card is from the Anchors Aweigh Strip.  The right hand page I added a 1/2 stripe down the side and only adhered the top and bottom.  You could add some pictures or post cards under the strip if you do not want to adhere them down.  At the bottom right hand corner I stamped an image from the Joy Clair Bible Journaling Collection Anchor of Hope set.

Here is what the portfolio looks like opened.

The next pages are the same measurements as the pages above.  The quote on the front of the card is from the Anchors Aweigh Strip. The image stamped on the right hand page is also from the Joy Clair Bible Journaling Collection Anchor of Hope set.

The last two pages are the same measurements as the first pages.  The design paper on the left hand side is from Quick Quotes 49 Shades of Grey Collection.  I used the quotes from the Quick Quotes Anchors Aweigh Strip.  The quote on the left hand side, I adhered it to the page on the ends so I could fit the frame under it.  The frame measures 4 1/4 x 3 7/8.  I added a layer of white on the frame and stamped the image on the bottom from the Joy Clair Everyday set Seas the Day.  On the right hand side, again I left the middle open so the tags could fit under it.  I stamped some images on the bottom of the tags from the Seas the Day set also.  The memories is from the Quick Quotes Family & Special Moments Vellum Strips.  You will see the tags in the video below.

Here is a short video so you can see the details of the portfolio.

Happy 5th Anniversary CASology!

Happy Anniversary CASology!

I am popping in to play along with CASology challenge, which the cue card word is "balloon".  They are also celebrating their 5th Anniversary.   When I saw the cue word, I knew exactly which stamp set I was going to use.  This stamp set if from MFT Stamps called Cupcake Day.

Here is my take on the cue card.

How I put my card together:

I first stamped and die cut the little girl.  I colored her skin with copic markers, E31, 35, 57 and 79.  I then stamped the image on design paper by MFT called Proper Pinstripes Pastels and Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Pastels.  I fuzzy cut the dress out and paper pierced it on the image.  I colored the cupcake and balloon with copics BV00, 01, 02 and added some clear wink of stella.  I used my tape runner and glued her down and added the sentiment.  A CAS card!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Here is my card, I am using a stamp set from Hero Arts called Brush Strokes which is retired, but I believe it was release sometime in September 2012.  The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Birthday Greeting which was released sometime in 2012.

Details on how I made my card:

1.  I started out with an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2),

2.  The top layer I die cut from the Rectangle Lawn Fawn stitched dies,

3.  I cut the black layer at 4 x 5 1/4,

4.  I used the painted brush from the Hero Arts Brush Stokes in different colors of the rainbow,

5.  I stamped my sentiment from the MFT Birthday Greetings,

6.  I finished my card off by adding different colors of enamel dots.

A Blog Named Hero - Friend

Hello everyone,

I am here with A Blog Named Hero our challenge this month is Florals.  and we are collaborating with Winnie & Walter Stamps.

Here is my take on the challenge and how I put my card together:

1. My card is an A2 (4 1/4 X 5 1/2), I die cut the stitched die from the Large Lawn Fawn stitched die, and the scalloped was die cut from the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle stackables, and adhered these to the base of my card,

2. I stamped the vase from the Winnie & Walter set "In Bloom: Lola's Bouquet with Joni Andaya", I then masked it off and added the stems and the flowers, I colored the flowers with copics R27, 46 and 59,

3. I then stamped the vase again on some design paper and pieced it onto the vase on the base of my card,

4. I then used my silhouette to cut the cut the file from Winnie & Walter called "The Big, the Bold and Friends Digital Elements", I adhered the word to my card and stamped the sentiment from the
Hero Arts Hello Stamp & Cuts stamp set,

5. I finished off my card by adding some Hero Arts Sequins Ombre Blush.

Closer look, I stamped and colored the flowers again and fuzzy cut them out and used pop dots to pop them up on my card.

Joy Clair - Christmas In July!

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair and we are celebrating Christmas a little early!  For the entire week, Joy Clair will be sharing some Christmas inspiration.  So be sure to keep coming back this week.  If you see something you just have to have, there is a discount code (CIJ17) you can use.  Do you realize it is just a little over five months before Christmas?  It's really never to early to start with your Christmas shopping and making your handmade cards if you make them.

I have made a cute box to hold the Joy Clair Christmas tags.  The tags are from the Joy Clair "Christmas tags".  There are four in the set.  I cut the SVG tag file and then stamped each image on the tag with different colors.  I then added a small hole at the top so you can thread some string through it to attach to a gift.  The top I stamped the "Christmas" from the Joy Clair Rustic Christmas Sentiment set and the word "tags" is from the Joy Clair Fancy Curl alphabet set.

Here is the box opened with the tags.  Remember back in the day, you could buy Christmas tags and it had the string in the box?  This is the look I was going for.

Here are the tags I stamped, there are about 12 in the box.

Have you stopped by the Joy Clair blog to play along with the current challenge which is "anything goes". If not, please come play, Joy Clair will be giving away one $25 gift card to the Joy Clair Store, randomly selected to give everyone a chance to win.

Please follow Joy Clair's facebook page, Color by Faith Bible Journaling facebook page, Instagram and Twitter, be the first to hear the news, sales and giveaways! They also have a Pinterest page and Youtube channel for your inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by, please leave me a comment if you like my project, I love reading them. If you are not a follower, please follow my blog to stay up to date on what's going on.

Hello everyone!

I'm stopping in to play along with CASology cue card challenge and it is "wish".  I was excited about this challenge when I saw it, I had the perfect stamp set and die set for this.  Here is my take on the challenge.

I started by cutting a piece of cardstock at 3 7/8 x 5 1/4, I embossed it with an embossing folder called Blowing Dandelions by X-Cut.  The black layer is 4 x 5 1/2,   I then die cut the Wishing word with blaack cardstock from WPlus 9 Sending Hoping Wishing. and adhered it to my card.  I stamped the words from WPlus 9 Sending Hoping Wishing.  I finished my card off by adding black enamel dots.
