Joy Clair - Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair stamps sharing a birthday card with you.  I am using several stamp sets to create my background.  I used the newly released Whale Hello There, Seas the Day, and Anchors of Hope stamp sets.

A few weeks ago I was at a crop and decided to play around with alcohol inks using Tim Holtz Yupo paper and Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Ink Cardstock.  My project today, I used the Adirondack Alcohol Ink cardstock.  I love how this background came out.  I love that it's dark in some areas and light in others, it truly looks like the creatures are floating in the water.  I wish I had written down what colors I used to create my background.  However, if you trying to create a water background it will never look like mine.  Every design I created came out totally different, give it a try.  Keep looking out for some more of my creations using the alcohol inks, I have more to share.

Here is how I created my card,

1.  My card is an A2 size card,

2.  The alcohol ink background I cut with my cutter to fit my card base,

3.  I stamped all the elements from the Whale Hello There, Seas the Day, and Anchors of Hope stamp sets.  I used my scan and cut to cut them out,

4.  I colored all the elements with copic markers,

5.  I stamped the sentiment from the Seas the Day stamp set and die cut it out.  I placed all the pieces on my card that I wanted to use and adhered some with a tape runner and some with foam tape.

Here is a closer look at my card.

Happy Mother's Day with Rinea

Hello everyone!

I am sharing another Mother's Day card with you using the Rinea foiled paper!  I love all the shades of purples and pinks I used in my card!

Here is how I created my card:
1.  The card is an A2 card measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,
2.  I used a piece of cardstock and cut stripes of the foiled paper using Violet, FushiaBlush and Lavendar, I glued them to my base, then I took a stitched die cut and cut them out and glued it to my card base,
3.  I then die cut the cut the tree using the Jade foiled paper and used foam tape to adhere it to my card,
4.  I then used a piece of black cardstock and stamped the sentiment using veramark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then adhered it to my card using foam tape.

Here is a closer look at my card.  Using die cuts with the foiled paper really makes your cards stand out!

I hope I have inspired you to start creating your Mother's Day card!

Joy Clair Stamps with the Cutting Edge

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair Stamps and we are collaborating with The Cutting Café the whole month of April.  Be sure to check out the Joy Clair blog for more inspiration!  The great thing about the Cutting Café is you don't have to have a cutting machine, the designs come in all different types of files and you can just print it on your printer and cut the design out.  Each design has instruction on how to put your project together.  How fun is that!

I have used the cutting file called Coffee Cup Holder template, I used my silhouette to cut the file.  I used a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock from my stash to cut all the pieces I needed to put my cup holder together.

I then used a strong adhesive liquid glue to adhere all my pieces together.

Here are the two square boxes needed to put the cups in.

I then adhered the two handles together and adhered the handle to both sides of the boxes.

I cut the two stripes out of designer paper and adhered it around the cup holder.

I used my scan and cut to cut two solid coffee cup wrappers.  I stamped them with the Joy Clair Coffee to Go Background stamp and adhered them to each cup.

Here is the cup holder put together with the coffee cups inside.  I decorated the outside of the cup using Joy Clair Stamp set Easter Greetings.  I colored the flowers using copic markers and stamped the black veramark ink.

Another view of the coffee cup holder.  Inside I filled the cups with candy.  I bought the 12 oz cups from Party City.

Here is a closer look at the cups, the wrapper around the cup, I stamped with Coffee to Go Background stamp, the images on the cup I stamped with black memento ink and colored them with copics.  The cute chick on the left is from the Joy Clair Happy Easter stamp set.  TheEaster eggs on the right cup and the sentiment on both of the cups is from the Joy Clair Easter Eggs stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you and you get busy working on some Easter projects for your friends and family.  The Cutting Edge has lots of projects for Easter and other occasions.  Be sure to stop by their store.
