A Blog Named Hero with Honey Bee Stamps - Watercoloring May Challenge!

Monday, May 15, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here with A Blog Named Hero and we are collaborating with Honey Bee Stamps this month.  The challenge this month is "Watercoloring", I hope you have had a chance to stop over on A Blog Named Hero's blog and see all the wonderful designs made by the design team.

Here is my take on the challenge.

Closer look at the shimmer on the background:

My card is an A2 card, to create the background I started out by using some watercolor paper, I sprayed the paper with water and then used the distress crayons to created my background.  I then took the Hero Arts stencil Sprinkle and laid it on my colored piece of watercolor paper and took a baby wipe and rubbed the stencil so the confetti would show up onto my paper.  After the paper dried, I sprayed it with some shimmer spray to give my background some shimmer.  I die cut the balloons from the Honey Bee Celebration stamp set and colored them with copic markers. I used the following copics on the balloons:  B02, 04, 06, R81, 83, 85, Y17, 38, YR68, YG21, 03, 17, 67, Y02, 06, 08.  I used a white gel pen to add the white lines on the balloons to give them definition.  I finished the card off by adding the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Hero Arts Birthday messages stamp set.

I hope I have inspired you to join in on the challenge, there will be one random entry, who can win a prize from A Blog Named Hero.  Please remember to follow all of our challenge rules so that you’re eligible for our prize.

You can add your card using the linky tool here.  Good luck and we can not wait to see what you create.

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon for some more inspiration!
