Birthday Celebration!

Hello everyone,

I'm here with CottageCutz sharing with you a birthday card which is another shaker card!  Here is my card:

Closer look at the presents and shaker

How I made this card........

The size of my card is an A2(4 1/4 X 5 1/2), the solid layer is the same size and the design layer is 4 x 5.  Who has used the Stitched Wide Frames?  They are wonderful to make shaker cards.  The circle stitched frame on my card is from the Stitched Wide Circle Frame Set.  There are three sizes in the set.  I used the largest circle.   To make the shaker I cut a circle from a clear plastic sheet and fused the edges leaving an opening to put my sequins in.  Once I filled it, I fused the small opening I left open.  I then used my tape runner to tape the circle and the pouch I made.  Then I taped it to the card.  So simple, no message glue to deal with!

I used the Present die to cut the two presents.  After cutting the two presents, I shaded the edges with ink and cut small boxes for the back of the presents so you could not see through the back.  Also, you can see the hearts that run down the center of the box.

I finished the card off with a sentiment.  That was easy peasy!  Why don't you give it a try and make this card with the Present die!

Please come back soon to see some more creations from the design team!

Joy Clair - Letter to God (New Release)

Hello everyone,

I am here with Joy Clair Stamps featuring one of the new release stamps called "Letter to God".  This stamp set is perfect for bible journaling, but I decided to make a bookmark.  Here is the stamp set and book mark.

For the bookmark I cut a piece of blue paper at 2" x 4", the design paper I cut at 1" x 4", I stamped the fishs on the background with versamark.  I cut two circles out and stamped them, then attached them to the top of the 2" piece.  I punched a hole and added some ribblon to the larger circle.  I cut another 2" x 1" blue paper and then the white piece is 1 7/8 x 7/8 and I stamped my images.  That's it, pretty simple, this would make a perfect gift for someone to use in their bible.

Coffee Lover's Hop

Hello everyone,

I decided to make one more card for the Coffee Lover's Hop.  I have been wanting to use this stamp set by Memory Box, Bunny Tea Time.  It is so adorable!  I have been playing around with watercolor and decided to make my background with it.  I used the distress inks to create may background.  I added some splatter and finished the card off with sequins.  What is a card without sequins?

Thanks so much for stopping by.  If you like my card leave me a comment, I love reading them. Please come back again soon!

Hello - a2z Scrapbooking March Challenge

NOTICE: It looks like we’re having a bit of trouble with our InLinkz Link-up on our blog. It seems to have a mind of its own and disappeared from the side-bar. However, it found a home on the first day of March here. The DT are trying to put it back where it came from, but until you see it in the usual place on the top right side, you’ll be able to enter here.

Hello everyone,

I am here with a2z Scrapbooking challenge for March which is Embossing. You can do dry embossing and/or wet embossing. Do whatever your heart desires! We just want you to link your project up to the Inlinkz here.

I am so excited to share this card with you. I just love the "Paper Layering Pineapple" by Hero Arts! Although this is not in the a2z Scrapbooking store, you can put in a special request to order it, and don't forget you can get 15% off by using Donna15.

Here is how I put my card together:

The card is an A2 card, I cut the first black layer at 4 x 5 1/4, the embossed layer is 3 7/8 x 5. I used an embossing folder on this layer. The second black layer is 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 and the layer with the pineapple is 3 x 4. I embossed/cut out the pinapple with this layer.

I embossed/cut out the pineapple again with a scrap piece of paper to use as a mask to sponge the colors onto my pineapple. I did not want the ink to get on the white part of my card.

I finished off my card adding the sentiment from the Hero Arts "Many Everyday Sayings" and Hero Art Foliage Pearts and Gems and Yellow Green Hill ink.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will join a2z Scrapbooking challenge this month. Please make sure your project uses at least one Hero Arts product. Mojo Monday #440 and Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello everyone,

I am here playing along with the  Mojo Monday sketch challenge and the Spring Coffee Blog Hop.  I have used the Mojo Monday sketch to design my card.  The paper is Taylored Expressions "Hello Happiness" and the coffee cups and sentiment is from the stamp set from Taylored Expressions "Joe to Go". I have a nice collection of Coffee Stamp sets and it's so hard to decide which one to use.  I get a little overwelmed when I start to look for a set.  But I always love how they turn out.  Here is my card....

My card is an A2 card 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.  My first two are 5 1/4 x 4 and 5 x 3 7/8.  I added my ribbon and then added the two panels and then added my circles.  I stamped my sentiment and then used foam tape to pop them up.  This is a quick and simple card.  Love the colors.

Thanks for stopping by, tell me what you think about my card.  I love reading your comments. Come back again soon!

Happy Easter

Hello everyone,

I am her with CottageCutz to share with you an Easter card.  Easter is early this month....can you believe it is this Sunday!  My card I am using the beautiful ornate "Happy Easter Egg" by CottageCutz.

I have made an Easter Egg shaker card....oh what fun!!!

Closer look at the shaker part of the card.....

Here is how I put my card together.....

The card is an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2)

The first layer on my card measure 4 x 5 1/4

I cut the rectange frame using two dies from the CottageCutz Retangle Set. I applied double stick tape around the back and attached it to the base of the card.

For the shaker part of the card, I used the template from the piece of paper from the die that I cut out the Easter Egg.  I traced the inside of the egg so I could cut a solid egg for the back of the shaker.  I used my fuse to make the shaker part of the card, so I used the template to fuse the plastic piece to hold the sequins.

After cutting all my pieces and putting my sequins in the plastic egg, I added a little glue to the solid egg and put the plastic piece and the ornate egg that I cut.  I added a bow to give the card a little character and that is it!

Thanks for stopping by, please come back again soon!

Mojo Monday #439 and Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello everyone,

I am stopping in to join the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and the long awaiting Spring Coffee Blog Hop.  I love playing along with both of these challenges, they are so muh fun.  I have made a card using Verve Stamp set called "Better with You".  It is such a nice stamp set it has 23 pieces in this set. Here is my take on the sketch.  Since I am playing along with the "Spring Coffee Lovers Blog hop", I need to use spring colors.  I love the bright colors on the card....how about you?

The base of my card is an A2 size, I layered all of my pieces with black, I love layering with black because it seems to make your paper pop!  I paper pieced the cups and colored the bottom and handles with copics (I wish I had cup the little white pieces out of the handles, but didn't think about it until it was to late).  The circles are cut from the small and large circle spellbinders.  I stamped the coffee stain piece first and then added my sentiment.  Just love it!

Thanks for stopping by, there is a little time to play along with the Mojo Monday and the Spring Coffee blog hop is from March 18-23.  Please come back again soon!
