Back to School
Wow, I am on a roll this week. I am joining Mema's Craft challenge. The theme is "Back to School" or "Vacation". I decided to do "Back to School". I picked up this nice stamp and die set from the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook convention in Charlotte a couple of weekends ago. It is perfect for this challenge. I had never heard of this company before, it is "The Stamps of Life". They have very nice stamp sets. They have a club that you can join and get a stamp set every month. If you join you will get 15% off all of their stamps or dies. Want to join in the challenge? Check out Mema's Crafts. The challenge will be over on August 30th.
Thank you for stopping by again and checking out my card. Come back soon, I am working on some more items to post. Please take some time and check out the rest of my blog. A Good Friend
Happy Tuesday everyone,
This is a challenge/sketch week for me. I am really being creative, you know the old saying, "my creative juices are flowing". It has been a while since I have had time to play in my craft room. Here is a card I made for the "words challenge" at Our Creative Corner. I have been wanting to make a friendship card. I have had the Our Daily Bread (ODBD) stamp set, Sewn with Love for a while. ODBD stamps are so nice, they stamp so nice and crisp. They are heavy rubber and the groves are very deep. If you want to join Our Creative Corner with their challenge, you have until tomorrow 8/28.
I love how this card turn out (I know I say this about every card). I used Kaisercraft paper called Tigerlilly. The paper pack is so pretty. I love the butterflies and I really like how the words look on the card. This is a "word challenge" so that is what should be the main focus, but I added a butterfly and a little bling just to set it off. Don't you love it! I also added a sentiment inside the card (pictured below).

Freshly Made Sketches #100 - Hello
Hello Bloggers,
I always check out the Freshly Made Sketches, but never do them. I was checking out their sketch this week and they are celebrating their 100th sketch! This sketch was their very first sketch two years ago on September 7, 2011. See time flies when you are having fun. If you are interested check them out here. Congratulations Freshly Made Sketches, I look forward to seeing 100 more sketches in the upcoming years.
Here is my take on the sketch. I was so excited to use my new paper that I bought at Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Convention in Charlotte, NC last weekend. The paper is by Heartfelt Creations. I love their vintage paper and stamp set. The stamps, stamps so nice and crisp. I used glossy accents on the butterfly to give it more dimension. I don't know if you can see, but I colored in the flowers and the swirls with the clear "Wink of Stella" brushes, I also picked up at the convention. These are made by Zig and are very nice, they have a shimmering look when you color in your stamped image.
Thanks for stopping by, if you like my card, please leave a comment. If you enjoy coming to my blog, please follow me on the left hand side.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This week was busy, but I managed to make a couple of cards. Can you believe the summer is almost over. Just a week before the children go back to school. We didn't go on a big vacation this year, but we sure did manage to stay busy. I have a Halloween card that I created with this weeks Mojo. At first I didn't know what to create, but I managed to come up with this card. I love the colors of fall, they are such beautiful colors. Thanks again for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Come back soon, I have some more projects to share with you.

Another Altered Cigar Box
Hello Bloggers,
It has been a crazy month. Every weekend this month I have had something to do. Last weekend was our family reunion. We had a wonderful time, meeting new family members and visiting with family. This past weekend, I did something that I love to do. I went to the Creating Keepsake Scrapbooking Convention in Charlotte, NC. It was so much fun, I took two classes and did lots of shopping. I think the best thing I bought were some really cool pens. The are made by Zig, called Wink of Stella brushes. They are markers that when you color your project, it is shimmery. Look them up on the web if you are interested.
Well, onto my altered cigar box that I want to share with you. I made this box to give away at our family reunion. I really love how it came out. I really like the Kaisercraft paper, 75 Cent! I covered a 6 drawer Kaisercraft tower with the 75 Cent paper too. I will share that with you later.
Thank you for stopping by. Come back soon, I am working on some more items to post. Please take some time and check out the rest of my blog. If you like this altered cigar box, please leave a comment, I love reading them. If you enjoy my blog, please follow me....click on the link on the right side of my blog "follow me".
