RETRO RUBBER CHALLENGE BLOG #76

Tuesday, November 21, 2017

Hello everyone!

Image may contain: text

I am here with Retro Rubber with a new challenge which is "Anything Goes".  Don't you love challenge with anything goes?  I know I do, you can make whatever you would like.  I am getting ready for the holiday seasons and I have made a Christmas card for your inspiration.  I hope you all are ready and I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving.  Enjoy your family and be safe if you are traveling.

The rules to play along with Retro Rubber are very simple, make sure the stamp you use on your project is at least one year or older. For more details on the rules, you can find them over on Retro Rubber Challenge blog. Be sure to stop over on the Retro Rubber Challenge blog to get more inspiration, the design team has some wonderful creations!

The sentiment on my card is from Penny Black and was release around August 2016.

I started off with an A2 card, the black layer measures 4 x 5 1/2 and the white layer is 3 7/8 x 5.   I die cut two more layers and stamped the sentiment from the Penny Black Yuletide Wishes.  I added a strip of glitter paper and added a thin stripe of ribbon.  The tree is made from card stock that is two tone.  I die cut a 5" circle, cut it in half, scored the top and folded down the other layers.  Then adhered the tree to the card.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. You have until December 1st to join in on the fun!

A Blog Named Hero - Merry Christmas

Monday, November 20, 2017

Hello everyone,

I am here with A Blog Named Hero and we have been collaborating all Month with Neat & Tangled.  The challenge this month is to "copy a designer".   I was inspired by my Design Team buddy Lisa Stein from her post on January 13, 2017.  I loved Lisa's card with the coffee cups.  If you want to see how she created her card, here is the link.

Here is my card:

On my card I used the Hero Arts Merry Stamp & Cut stamp set for the sentiment and the stars.   I stamped the stars with Hero Arts Inks Forever Green and Raspberry Jam.  The coffee mugs are from the stamp set from Neat & Tangled "Perfect Blend".  The sequins are Hero Arts Ombre Sequins Blush and the green ones are from Neat and Tangled.  I loved creating this card.....thank you Lisa for the inspiration.  The coffee mugs I used copics to color.  The green is Y03, 17 and 67, the red is R24, 29 and 59.

I hope you get a chance to play along with this month’s challenge! All you need to do is use at least one Hero Arts product on your project and follow this month’s theme, ‘Copy A Designer’. Link up your card for a chance to win a great prize from Neat & Tangled! Can’t wait to see what you create!!

Monday, November 20, 2017

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair featuring the newly release Everyday set called "3d Christmas Poinsettia".  This set is an amazing set it is a 6x8 set.  There are several petals to layer the poinsettia and many sentiments and elements to decorate your card.  This would be perfect for your Christmas cards!

Closer pic of the poinsettia

Here is how I put my card together:

1. My card is an A2 size card,
2. I cut a black and pink piece of card stock 4 x 5 and die cut the design on the bottom, I cut about an 1/8 inch on the three sides of the pink card stock so they were layered,
3. I stamped the three larger petals of the poinsettia and leaves (2) with versamark on vellum paper, I added some white embossing powder and heat set them,
4.  I colored the backside of each petals and leaves with copics,
5.  I then adhered the leaves on the card, and then used pop dots in the middle of each set of petal,
6.  I then stamped some of the twigs from the set with versamark and added white embossing powder and heat set them,
7.  I then added some gold NUVO around the twigs and in the middle of the poinsettia,
8.  I then stamped the sentiment "Noel" with versamark and added black embossing powder and heat set it.

The mini album measures 5 x 4 3/8.  The base of the mini album was made with just a 12 x 12 sheet of paper.  All the papers in this mini album was made from Kaisercraft paper 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 pad called Silent Night.  Here is the front of the album.  the sentiment is from the paper pad too, I fuzzy cut it out and added it to the front of the book.  The "joy" was from the pad too, I used a small circle punch to cut it out.

Here is the back of the album.  The sentiment also is from the paper pad.  I cut the closer out and added the brads and used a magnet to close the book.

This is the is the inside of the album, page 1 and 2.  I made two mats which can be used to journal or add pictures.  There are three inserts in the front and the back of the album.  The front window I cut out with the We Are Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board, the paper is from the paper pad.  I used some stampin up window sheets to make the pocket.

Page 3 and 4, added some design paper and added some mats for pictures.  The Merry Christmas is from the paper pack.

Page 5 and 6, the windows are also cut with the We Are Memory Keepers Frame Punch Board, the paper is from the paper pad.

Hello everyone,

The Cast and Crew for Gina K. Designs are showcasing the beautiful Holiday Foil-Mates™ . All of the new Holiday Foil-Mates™ are available in the Gina K. Designs store. We hope to inspire you with some beautiful cards and gift projects as you hop along to each of the designer’s blogs!

Ready for some inspiration? Here are a few of the projects I have created for today’s hop:

My first card is an A2 gate fold card. I used the snowflake pattern from the Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates™Backgrounds - Blizzard pack. I foiled the snowflakes with the Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils™ 6" x 8" - Sparkling Silver. The sentiment is from the Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates™ Sentiments - Joyful Holiday and die cut with the Gina K. Designs Double Stitched Squares Dies and Gina K. Designs Single Stitched Squares Dies and foiled with Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils™ 6" x 8" - Radiant Red.
I have some baked cookies that I have added one of the tags from the Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates™ Sentiments • Tag Tidings.  These tags are perfect for any gifts that you want to give.  The added foil makes the tags look so classy.  They are quick and easy to put together, using the Gina K. Designs Decorative Tag Dies set.  As you can see I couldn't just make one!

I created a box of Christmas cards to give as a gift.  The box has 4 cards and 4 envelopes.  The clear box is sold in the Gina K Store, here.  There are 10 boxes in the set.

The gift tag on the clear box is from Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates™ Sentiments • Tag Tidings, I used the Gina K. Designs Fancy Foils™ 6" x 8" • Radiant Red to foil my tag.  I die cut the tag from the Gina K. Designs Decorative Tag DiesThe white ribbon is very nice, I used the Gina K video to make the ribbon.  If you have trouble making bows like I do, stop over to Gina's YouTube Channel or StampTV and watch the video, there are several tips on how to make bows.  The following cards are in the gift box.

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair featuring the newly release Everyday set called ""Calendar Fun" and the Color by Faith "Born is the King". If you have not visited the Joy Clair blog, please stop by to see all the wonderful designs the design team has created. You will definitely be inspired!

I hope you will play along with the Joy Clair Challenge this month. The theme is always anything goes and our Design Team uses a photo inspiration to create their project that you can use too. If you would like to join the challenge, you can find all the details here. As always, you will have a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to the Joy Clair Store.

Here is how I put the December calendar together:

1. I stamped the calendar grid on colored card stock measured 4 3/8 x 4, the white layer measures 4 5/8 x 4 1/4, the red layer measures 4 3/4 x 4 1/2,
2. I then stamped the month (December) in the center of the grid with Versafine Onyx Black ink,
3. I stamped the days of the week and then I added the numbers.

This is a simple and easy stamp set to use. I didn't add to much on the calendar because I don't have anything scheduled for December, but I'm sure it will fill up soon!

Calendar Fun Clear Stamps

My second card is the Joy Clair "Born is the King".  This set is so nice!  I love the font of all the sentiments.  This set can be used over and over on any of your Christmas cards.

Here is how I put it together.

1.  I cut several layers and adhered them to my card,
2.  I stamped the sentiment and image from the Joy Clair "Born is the King" set,
3.  I then cut another dove and used copics to color it and popped it on the dove I stamped on the paper,
4.  I finished the card off by adding some clear droplets.
