Happy New Year!

I am so happy to be back with Retro Rubber Challenges!  I have missed everyone.  Today we have a new challenge and it's all about "let it snow!".  To join the challenge, simply use a stamp one year old or older and the theme below.  It's so much fun to join Retro Rubber's challenges.  Don't forget to stop by the blog and see all the other design teams creations.

My card is a clean and simple card, the background paper already has the snow on it, I stamped the trees with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink and then used Hero Arts white embossing powder and heat set it.  I stamped the two birds with memento and colored them with copics.  I finished my card off by adding the sentiment.

The stamp set I am using is an Avery Elle "Let It Snow" set which was released around November 2013.  This is a must have stamp set, so many possibilities.

Thanks again for stopping by, please don't forget to stop over at the Retro Rubber Challenge blog and join the fun and check out the beautiful projects the design team members have created. Leave me a comment to tell me how you liked my card, I love to read them.

  1. That is a great job with the embossing of the trees on the beautiful background paper. I have this stamp set too, and never thought to emboss with it. You have inspired me to do so. Thank you.

  4. I love the clean crispness of your card. The colour of the background is a favourite of mine - perfect paper for this challenge. Your trees are impressive! When I first saw them I wondered if they were somehow embossed as they had such depth to them. Those two cute as a button birds just draw the eye with their burst of colour. This is a fabulous card!

  5. Oh, Donna, you made a card that just touches my heart! I love birds and seeing them in the snowy tree just makes my heart melt for them. They are huddling for warmth on a cold winter day! Your CAS card is absolutely gorgeous. The tree is so realistic and the designer paper was the perfect choice! Love it!!

  6. Donna, Cardinals are some of the most beautiful birds around, I'm fortunate to see them all year coming to the feeders and, in the Spring and early Summer, they come with their little babies, who chase them around asking for food.
I love this pair of bright red Cardinals perched up on that branch, beautiful embossed trees, they look so real in white.
    Fabulous card.
    Hugs,
    Maria.

  7. Absolutely gorgeous card Donna! I love the colors and the pop of color from those cardinals is spot on. Cardinals remind me of one of my favorite aunts who passed away a year ago. She loved cardinals so when I see them I smile and remember her! Thank you for prompting that with your card! Beautiful!!

  8. Donna, I always love how you use colour. The beautiful pop of Red from the Cardinals on that wonderful teal background is stunning. I love that you added the trees to the already snowy paper, I really need to consider doing that more. Claire x
