Hello everyone,

I am here with a2z Scrapbooking August challenge which is embossing, you can use embossing paste on your project, or use embossing powder or embossing folders. I choose to use Hero Arts clear embossing powder on my project.  The technique I am using is heat resist.  I inked my stamp set up with versa mark and stamped my paper.  I put the clear embossing powder on the paper and used my heat gun to get the embossing.  I then took a sponge and the Hero Arts ombre ink and added the color to my paper.

Hop on over to a2z Scrapbooking blog and play along. Don't forget to use at lease one Hero Arts product. You also have a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. The winner will be announced on September 7.

If you are a Hero Arts lover, the a2z Scrapbooking store has some wonderful items in the store. Please use donna15, to receive 15% off your items.

Just Because - a2z Scrapbooking August Challenge

Sunday, August 9, 2015

Hello everyone,

I am here with a2z Scrapbooking August challenge which is embossing, you can use embossing paste on your project, or use  embossing powder or embossing folders. I choose to use embossing paste on my project. If I can recall, this is my first time using embossing paste on a card. It's not perfect, but I must say, I like how it turned out. I like the embossed roughness  look and the feel of my card. I used Hero Arts showdow inks to add color to my card.  Here is what I did.............

This is the embossing paste that I put on the craft mat and added some
ink.   I folded in the paste with the embossing knife
until I had the color I wanted (adding more ink to the mat).

After I got the color I wanted, I took my knife and smoothed the paste on the stencil.  My paste was not as smooth when I finished, but I like the overall look.  I hope I have inspired you to create something for this challenge.
