Happy Mother's Day

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

Hello everyone,

I am here playing along with WPlus 9 - Throwback Thursday challenge and Simon Says Clean and Simple.  I have had this butterfly frame for a while and thought this would be a great challenge to make a card with it.  I created a Mother's Day card since Mother's Day is in a couple of weeks.  I started out with an A2 card, and cut the piece of back ground paper, I thought the paper was a perfect fit with the butterfly die. I die cut the butterfly die frame with my big shot and adhered it to my card.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Strictly Sentiments 4.  I stamped the sentiment with Memento Black using my Misti and my card is complete.  Very clean and simple card.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope to see you again soon!

You Make Me Smile

Monday, April 27, 2015

Hello everyone,

I'm stopping in with a2z Scrapbooking April's challenge.  The challenge this month is to use any kind of stencil. My card is an A2 card, I used the Arrow Pattern Stencil and inked it with the Hero Arts Ombre Butter to Orange ink.  I tried to do an ombre look, but I think I need a little practice.  I cut the "hello" from the Hero Arts stamp and Cut set Hello.  I sponged it with the ombre ink.  I cut a black piece also and offset it to give the hello some dimension.  I cut a circle in the center of the card, and centered the Hello.  I curved the sentiment and stamped it with Hero Arts Black ink.  Love the bright color of the ombre ink.  I have to find some more projects to use this.  I want to practice the ombre look.  So, you still have a couple of more days until the end of April to join in on the fun.  I can't wait to see what you create.

Hello everyone, and welcome to a2z Scrapbooking Birthday Blog Hop Bash!!! You should be arriving from Char's blog. If this is your first stop you'll want to begin at a2z Scrapbooking blog so you don't miss out on any of the fun and beautiful creations we are sharing today.

My card ia an A2 card,  made from the Hero Arts clear stamp set cell phone.  I used Hero Arts black ink to stamp the phone and line the text messages in the phone.  I used my misti to do all my stamping and lining up the text messages.  I stamped the Happy Birthday seentiment with Hero Arts Green Hills ink.  I fuzzy cut the sentiment out and popped it up to give it more dimension.  For the layers on the card, I cut 1/2  by 5 1/2 inch stripes for the sides and the middle piece is 3 1/4 inches by 5 1/2.  I finished my card off with punching out a pennant from the ek success punch and added a button and twine.
