Wishing You a Happy Birthday

Tuesday, March 31, 2015

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.  Can you believe tomorrow is April 1?  Where did March go?  I am praying that by the end of this week it will warm up.  I am so ready for warm weather.

I am here playing along with CAS(E) this sketch and CASology - Spring.  I could not wait to use this stamp set from My Favorite Things.  It is a simple and clean card.  The tulips on this set have endless possibilites.  I cut out a couple of layers with My Favorite Things dies.  I stamped the tulip and then cut it out with the die set, placed the tulip on the top layer of my card and stamped the words across both pieces.  I lifted the tulip up and stamped again.  I lined the tulip over the words and popped it up. I used my prismacolor pencils to color the flower.  Here is my take on the sketch.

Hello again everyone,

I am back today with another quick post to play along with The Card Concept (Cupcakes) which my card is clean and simple.  Lots of layers and elements.  I am also playing along with Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I thought these two challenges would work well together.  I have had this Avery Elle Stamp Set Cupcakes for a while so I am using this in these challenges.  This is a clean and simple card with lots of colors.

Here is my take on the challenges.

Here is my inspiration for this card:

You Are So Sweet - MFT Color and Sketch Challenges

Sunday, March 29, 2015

Hello everyone,

Brrrr, it's been cold outside.  Springtime, oh Springtime, where are you?  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I am here for a quick post.  I am playing along with the MFT Color and Sketch Challenge.  I was so excited my card was randomly selected  last week for the color challenge.  It's always great to go shopping in the MFT store.  Everything I wanted was out-of-stock so I will have to wait.

For my card, I used the Stampin Up DSP paper Best Year Ever.  The solid piece is Stampin Up paper too, and I embossed it and added the sequins.  The image is from MFT, it is the Candy Jar set.  I cut the image out with the big shot and the jelly beans came with the set and I cut them out in multiple colors.  I added some acetate and used a little glossy accent to keep the jelly beans in the jar.  Here is my take on the challenge.

Here is the sketch and the colors for the challenge.  There is still tie to play.

Thanks so much for stopping by, please come back again soon.
